Pauline Angela Collins, OBE (born 3 September 1940) is an English actress of the stage, television, and film. She first came to prominence portraying Sarah Moffat in Upstairs, Downstairs and its spin-off Thomas & Sarah during the 1970s. She later drew acclaim for playing the title role in the play Shirley Valentine for which she received Laurence Olivier, Tony, and Drama Desk awards. She reprised the role in a 1989 film adaptation, winning a BAFTA and garnering Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations. Ulrich Matthes

Biography

Ulrich Matthes was born in Berlin. He studied acting in the early 1980's in Berlin under Else Bongers. Ulrich Matthes studied German and English, because he really wanted to become a teacher, so he also took private acting lessons during his studies. His first engagement brought him to the Vereinigte Bühnen in Krefeld, where he played the title role in "Prinz Friedrich von Homburg". Later he came to Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, the Bavarian State Theatre, the Munich Studio Theater and the Schaubühne place. Since the 2004/2005 season, he is member of the ensemble at Deutsches Theater in Berlin. In the 2004 movieThe Ninth Day, he plays Fr. Henri Kremer, a Catholic priest imprisoned at Dachau. In 2005 he was voted "Actor of the Year" by 'Theater heute' magazine for his performance in Edward Albees' "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". Ulrich Matthes has also dubbed many American actors such as Kenneth Braga, Malcom McDowell, Charlie Sheen, Ralph Fiennes, and Richard Thomas. Marie Windsor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Marie Windsor (born Emily Marie Bertelsen; December 11, 1919 – December 10, 2000) was an actress known as "The Queen of the Bs" because she appeared in so many B-movies and film noirs. After working for several years as a telephone operator, a stage and radio actress, and a bit and extra player in films, Windsor began playing feature parts on the big screen in 1947. Her first film contract, with Warner Bros. in 1942, resulted from her writing jokes and submitting them to Jack Benny. Windsor said she submitted the gags under the name M.E. Windsor "because I was afraid he might be prejudiced against a woman gag writer." When Benny finally met Windsor, "he was stunned by her good looks" and had a producer sign her to a contract. After a tenure with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in which the studio "signed her, put her in two small roles and then promptly forgot her", she signed a seven-year contract with The Enterprise Studios in 1948. The actress' first memorable role was in 1948 with John Garfield in Force of Evil playing seductress Edna Tucker. She had roles in numerous 1950s film noirs, notably The Sniper, The Narrow Margin, City That Never Sleeps, and Stanley Kubrick's heist movie, The Killing, in which she played Elisha Cook Jr.'s scheming wife. She also made a foray into science fiction with the 1953 release of Cat-Women of the Moon. Windsor co-starred with Randolph Scott in The Bounty Hunter (1954). Later, Windsor moved to television. She appeared in 1954 as Belle Starr in the premiere episode of Stories of the Century. In 1962, she played Ann Jesse, a woman dying in childbirth, in the episode "The Wanted Man" of Lawman. She appeared on programs such as Maverick, Bat Masterson, Perry Mason, Bourbon Street Beat, The Incredible Hulk, Rawhide, General Hospital, Salem's Lot (TV miniseries), and Murder, She Wrote. Windsor worked consistently through the 1960s and 1970s, and remained on screen once or so annually up to the 1990s, playing her final role at 72 in 1991. Windsor has a star at 1549 N. Vine Street in the Motion Pictures section of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was dedicated January 19, 1983. She was among the 500 stars nominated for selection as one of the 50 greatest American screen legends, as part of the American Film Institute's 100 years. In 1987, Windsor received the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for best actress for her work in The Bar Off Melrose. She also received the Ralph Morgan Award from the Screen Actors Guild for her service on the organization's board of directors.

Most of the Christians films he participated in were shot there. He has over 15 years’ writing, directing, acting and producing experience, much of it in the faith-based market. His vision is to produce quality motion pictures to share strong messages of hope, faith and love that come through a personal relationship with God. The movie Mercy Streets which he produced  was nominated for the Best Family Film Award. Kevin lives in Visalia, California with his wife Catherine and dog Darby. Kevin Downes is the younger brother of producer Bobby Downes who is the founder and CEO of ChristianCinema.com. In 2003, Kevin wrote, produced, directed and starred in Six: The Mark Unleashed opposite Stephen Baldwin, Eric Roberts, David A.R. White and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Anselmo Duarte

Biography

Anselmo Duarte Bento (April 21, 1920 – November 7, 2009) was a Brazilian actor, screenwriter and film director. Initially known as a leading man in popular musical comedies (known in Brazil as "chanchadas"), he debuted as filmmaker in 1957's "Absolutamente Certo", in which he also stars. His next film, "O Pagador de Promessas" (1962), adapted from a stage play by Dias Gomes, won the Golden Palm at the 1962 Cannes Film Festival. It is, to date, the only Brazilian feature film to be so distinguished and the first Cannes' Southern Hemisphere Golden Palm for best feature film. Duarte was awarded with the Order of The Cultural Merit, Brazil's highest cultural civilian honor, and with the Order of Ipiranga, which is the state of São Paulo's highest civilian honor. He was also awarded with titles of merit citizenship by numerous Brazilian municipalities including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Salto, his birthplace. In 2009, the municipality of Salto inaugurated a multimillion-dollar cultural and educational center named "Centro Cultural e Educacional Anselmo Duarte", housing a 500 audience amphitheater for film and theatrical events. The center also displays for public view the original "Golden Palm" awarded to Duarte at the 1962 Cannes Film Festival. n 2008, at 88, Duarte founded a cultural organization (Instituto Anselmo Duarte) dedicated to restoring selected Brazilian films and creating special, free of charge, educational projects aimed at young filmmakers to improve their technical filmmaking skills. After his death, his son, Ricardo Duarte, 69, became the institute's president. Upon being diagnosed by suffering Alzheimer's dementia in 2002, Duarte spent his last 7 years of life under the care of his son, Ricardo, and his grandchild, Daphne, a preeminent Brazilian artist. Anselmo had 4 children. Reaching stage 6 on his Alzheimer illness condition, a bladder cancer was detected which led to a severe blood hemorrhage, precipitating a heart stroke. Although both the bladder cancer and heart conditions had been successfully treated, a sudden massive hemorrhagic brain stroke left the legendary Brazilian actor and filmmaker in a coma for 6 days, which led to his passing on November 7, 2009. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Nicole Maurey (December 20, 1925 - March 11, 2016) was a French actress, who appeared in 65 film and television productions between 1945 and 1997. Born in Bois-Colombes, a northwestern suburb of Paris, she was originally a dancer before being cast in her first film role in 1944. She remains most noted as Charlton Heston's leading lady in Secret of the Incas (1954), often cited as the primary inspiration for Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Later in life, she moved into television appearing in different made-for-TV movies and mini-series. Walter Hugo Khouri

Biography

Walter Hugo Khouri was born in São Paulo, in 1929, and through his career directed 25 feature-length films, beginning after working as a technician at the Vera Cruz Film Company during the production of "O Cangaceiro". Debuting with 1951s "O Gigante de Pedra", Khouri was a complete auteur, working as screenwriter, director, camera operator and editing supervisor for most of his films. During his career, Khouri filmed the moral decadence of the Brazilian bourgeoisie and the erotic aesthetics as a personal, psychological issue. His works focused on the existential character of Brazilian society's upper classes. His filmes are marked by the presence of Marcelo, a recurring character that serves as an avatar and alter-ego for Khouri himself. He died in São Paulo in 2003, at age 73.
