Simon Armstrong

Biography

Simon Armstrong is a Welsh actor from Llanelli, best known for his portrayal of Qhorin Halfhand in Game of Thrones. Armstrong portrayed Qhorin Halfhand in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012). He also had recurring roles in the TV series Coronation Street (2013) and The Interceptor (2015). He portrayed Rogers in Nigel Cole's Made in Dagenham (2010). He starred in the Dutch crime action comedy Black Out (2012) and in the British drama film In the Dark Half (2012). In 2014, Simon joined the cast of British-American short Artificio Conceal. The film, written and directed by Ayoub Qanir, was selected to film festivals worldwide including Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner, Edinburgh International Film Festival and Seattle International Film Festival. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Since the age of 13, Jones has worked as an actor throughout New York City and is currently writing a one-man show. Jones was born in New York City and credits a lot of his inspiration to growing up there. He was raised in Harlem and attended Professional Performing Arts School and City-As-School. Before graduating, Eugene had already portrayed leading roles in main stage productions such as A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Laramie Project. Film credits to date include City Teacher, And Then Came Love, "College Road Trip" and most recently, Towelhead. Television appearances include guest spots on Law & Order, Law & Order Criminal Intent, and Without A Trace. Micole Diana Mercurio (March 10, 1938 – January 19, 2016) was an American film and television actress and artist. Her film credits included the roles of Rosemary Szabo in Flashdance in 1983, Mrs. Kelly in Gleaming the Cube in 1989, Momma Love in The Client in 1994, Midge Callaghan in While You Were Sleeping in 1995, as well as What Lies Beneath in 2000. Mercurio's television work included guest appearances and recurring roles on Night Court, Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Chicago Hope and FlashForward.

Colin Welland

Biography

Actor and writer Colin Welland will perhaps be forever remembered for his triumph at the 1982 Academy Awards, when he won the Best Screenplay Oscar for his screenplay for the hit film Chariots of Fire, proclaiming "The British are Coming!" As an actor, his first film appearance is perhaps still his best-loved, the sympathetic Mr Farthing in Kes (1969), for which he won a BAFTA. Born in Liverpool, but raised in Leigh, Welland initially started out as an art teacher before moving into acting and becoming a household name playing the role of PC Graham in the long running BBC police serial Z Cars. Aside from Chariots of Fire, he wrote many other plays and films including the BAFTA winning Kisses at Fifty (later remade for Hollywood with Gene Hackman as Twice in a Lifetime), Leeds United! based on the rag trade strike that his own mother-in-law was active in, Yanks, A Dry White Season and War of the Buttons. As a film and TV actor his credits include Kes, Straw Dogs, Blue Remembered Hills, Cowboys and Sweeney! He died at the age of 81 on November 2, 2015, having suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years.

John Smith

Biography

Actor John Smith was born Robert Errol Van Orden in Los Angeles. He began his career singing with The Robert Mitchell Boy Choir, a group which appeared in two Bing Crosby films, Going My Way (1944) and The Bells of St. Mary's (1945). His agent Henry Willson, who also gave Tab Hunter and Rock Hudson their names, changed Van Orden's name to "John Smith". Robert Hofler, author of "The Man Who Invented Rock Hudson", reports that an actress identified as Pocahontas Crowfoot was in the courtroom when the name change was granted. In We're No Angels (1955), Smith had a small role as "Arnaud", the ship's doctor. Aldo Ray, observing the doctor in full dress whites, says "he looks like a glass of milk". John Smith's other film credits include Circus World (1964) and Justin Morgan Had a Horse (1972). Smith also appeared in the television westerns Cimarron City (1958) and Laramie (1959).

Ha seguito corsi di recitazione presso l'Actor's Studio di New York e a Roma con Cosimo Cinieri, Lucia Poli, Francesca de Sapio, Michael Margott, Jack Waltzer. Viene scoperta da Gianni Boncompagni che la lancia come ragazza pon pon aDomenica In. Finita quell'esperienza Sabrina porta a termine gli studi (maturità scientifica e corso parauniversitario sulle telecomunicazioni) e inizia a lavorare nella redazione di Rock 'n' Roll (1993), uno spin-off di Non è la RAI, programma al quale prende parte nel 1993 e nel 1994 curando l'angolo della posta, del dibattito con le ragazze del programma e interpretando alcuni sketch comici. All'interno del programma ha anche interpretato due pezzi come cantante e condotto il gioco di uno sponsor. Successivamente, è tornata in TV nel 1997 interpretando il ruolo di "Darla" in Macao, sempre con Boncompagni. Nel 1997 è anche protagonista della sitcom di Rai 2 Disokkupati, insieme a Paolo Ferrari, Pierfrancesco Loche, Adolfo Margiotta eStefano Masciarelli, per la regia di Franza Di Rosa. İlkokula başlamadan ailesi ile birlikte ABD’ye yerleşen Karadağlı, Türkiye’ye dönmüş sonra yapamayıp tekrar Amerikaya gitmiştir. Lise son sınıfta kesin dönüş yaptığı yıllarda da lise yıllarında okulunu aksatıp akut sinemasına abone olmuştur. Bir yandan da lise yıllarında onun için bir tutku olduğunu belirttiği seslendirme sanatına başlamıştır. Sonra Shakespeare’in “Kuru Gürültü” adlı oyununu hem Türkçe hem İngilizce oynamış ve böylece Bilkent Üniversitesi macerası başlamıştır. TED Ankara Kolejinden sonra Çankaya Lisesinden ve Bilkent Üniversitesi Müzik ve Sahne Sanatları Fakültesi Tiyatro Bölümünden mezun olan sanatçı ilk filmini 1993 yılında çevirdi. Çocuklar Duymasın dizisiyle ün kazandı. Birçok ünlü oyuncunun seslendirmesini de yapan Karadağlı, Arzu Balkan ile evliydi. Sanatçı ayrıca 8 farklı ingilizce lehçesini konuşmaktadır.
