Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Ben Oxenbould

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Ben Oxenbould (born 2 March 1969) is an Australian actor and comedian, best known for his work in the Australian film and television industry. In 1980, Oxenbould was cast as "Hubert 'Fatty' Finn" in the film Fatty Finn.  He then appeared in several films and television programs, including Home and Away, G. P. and Echo Point.  Oxenbould was cast as the character "Ben" in the sitcom, Hey Dad..!, appearing on the show between 1991 and 1994. In 2000 Oxenbould helped set up the BBAS Memorial School, a school in Bardia, Nepal, a remote Nepalese mountain village. In 2005, he organised a fundraiser for the school, which was supported by Australian entertainers, including singers Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers and comedian Akmal Saleh and artwork by the school's students was auctioned. From 2003 to 2005 Oxenbould featured as one of the ensemble cast of the sketch comedy series Comedy Inc., in which he was noted for several characters, including his parody of cricketer Shane Warne.  A review of Comedy Inc: The Late Shift published in The Australian in 2005 described Oxenbould's performance in the show as: "continu[ing] to display a gift for parody and a range that goes from high camp to seriously blue collar."  He left the program in 2005. In 2000 Oxenbould won the "Best Actor" award in the Sydney Fringe Festival's annual "Big Competition For Little Plays". In 2007 he starred in the film Black Water, a thriller set in the Australian outback and featuring a man-eating crocodile.  In 2010 he appeared in the film Wicked Love: The Maria Korp Story, a film based on the true story of Maria Korp who was murdered by her husband's lover in 2005.  Oxenbould has also done extensive work as a voice-over artist, as well as work in short films and theatre. On 24 March 2010, Oxenbould appeared on Australian television programme A Current Affair to support claims of sexual abuse made by fellow actor, Sarah Monahan. Oxenbould claimed to have witnessed another child actress being molested by a male cast member. Iris Meredith

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Iris Meredith (June 3, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa – January 22, 1980) was a B-movie actress of the 1930s and 1940s film era. She starred mostly in heroine roles, in westerns. Born as Marie Shunn, Meredith began her film career in the early 1930s, often starring in film serials while on contract with Columbia Pictures. Her best-known roles were in the 1938 serial The Spider's Web, and in the 1939 serial Overland with Kit Carson. In 1940 she starred in the serial The Green Archer, as well as in several westerns opposite Charles Starrett, Bill Elliott, and Bob Allen. Most of her films were with Starrett, from 1936 through 1940, most notably Riders of the Black River and Spoilers of the Range. Her career slowed mid-way through the 1940s. In 1941 she starred in The Son of Davy Crockett with Bill Elliott, and Caught in the Act opposite Henry Armetta. In 1942 she starred alongside Dave O'Brien in The Texas Rangers Take Over. Her last credited role was the 1943 film The Kid Rides Again, in which she starred opposite Buster Crabbe. She had one uncredited role afterward, in the 1951 film Chain of Circumstance. She married television director Abby Berlin, and retired from acting shortly thereafter. In total, she starred in over 50 films, 32 of which were westerns.

Satriaddin Maharinga Djongki, known as Arie Kriting, is a solo comedian and actor of Indonesian nationality. The man who comes from Wakatobi Regency is known as the third winner of the third season of the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV event in 2013. Previously, he started to make jokes on small stages with the solo comedian community Stand Up Indo Malang. With his distinctive Eastern Indonesian accent, he managed to break into the top 3 with Babe Cabita and Fico Fachriza in the third season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV in 2013. Arie became the first East Indonesia representative to successfully enter the top 3 at the event, before finally the achievement was solved by Abdurrahim Arsyad who was able to enter the grand final in 2014. Success as a comedian, Arie then tried his luck in the world of acting. In 2014, he was trusted to play Comic 8. His career in acting continues to improve, he was nominated for the Citra Cup for Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Indonesian Film Festival thanks to his acting in the film Aisyah: Let Us Brothers. Dalton Trumbo was an American film and television screenwriter and novelist. He was one of the Hollywood Ten, the group of film professionals who refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1947 during the committee's investigation of Communist influences in the American motion picture industry. While blacklisted and not permitted to work, he won two Academy Awards in the category "Best Writing" for "Roman Holiday", originally given to front writer Ian McLellan Hunter, and for "The Brave One", awarded to Robert Rich, one of Trumbo's pseudonyms.

Joseph Chi Chiong Chavez was born in South America in 1953. His father practiced as a doctor in Ecuador while his mother was a Peruvian-Chinese. Chi dropped out of college in his junior year to become an amateur race car driver in Hong Kong, and got to know a group of stunt drivers. In 1978, while visiting friends on a film set, he volunteered to take part in a stunt involving a car hitting a wall of glass, which marked his initiation into the film business. Chi began working as a stuntman and in the early 1980s, he was promoted to the position of action choreographer.
