Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. G.W. Bailey

Biography

​George William Bailey was born on August 27, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas. Bailey started college at Lamar University in Beaumont and eventually transferred to Texas Tech University in Lubbock; but he did not complete his studies. He worked at local theater companies during the mid 1960s until his move to California in the 1970s. Here he began work on television series such as Starsky and Hutch (1975), Charlie's Angels (1976) and CHiPs (1977). He eventually got a movie debut role in the Chuck Norris movie A Force of One (1979) before landing the role of Luther Rizzo in MASH (1972-1983). In 1993, he returned to Texas to study again at Southwest Texas State University. In 1994, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts Theatre; and, for the 1999-2000 school year, he was the Artist in Residence.

Ahmed Zaki

Biography

Ahmed Zaki (November 18, 1949 - March 27, 2005) was a leading Egyptian film actor who was characterized by his talent, skill, and ability to impersonate. Dubbed "The Emperor", he is widely regarded as one of the greatest male actors in the Arab world. Zaki has starred in six films that have been listed in the Top 100 Egyptian films. Ahmed Zaki was born to a poor family in Sharqia, Egypt. His father died a few years after his birth, his mother remarried, and he was brought up to live with his grandfather. Zaki fell in love with acting when he was still in school, his headmaster saw his creative ability and pushed him to follow his passion. He would later travel to Cairo and earn his degree from the Cairo Higher Institute for Drama Studies in 1974. While studying, he first debuted in the stage play Hello Shalaby (1969). He also starred in very successful comedy plays such as School of Mischief (1973) and No Longer Kids (1979). Early in his career, he struggled with producers and directors as they believed he did not have the appearance to appeal to audiences. When he got objected by the film distributor to star in Al Karnak (1975) after he was cast as the character Ismail, he entered a severe depression. He did not overcome it until after poet and playwright Salah Jahin supported him, as Jahin was convinced of his talent and would later write films and a TV show Zaki starred in. Many of his films had a strong political message that exposed governmental and police corruption. Two of his greatest successes were playing Egypt's presidents in two popular movies that became landmarks of Arabic cinema. He played Gamal Abdel Nasser in Nasser 56 (1996) and Anwar Sadat in Days of Sadat (2001). He also portrayed other prominent Egyptian figures such as writer Taha Hussien. Zaki was a method actor who immersed himself profoundly in his roles, absorbing every aspect of the character he was portraying whether he was fictional or real in origin. In 1983, he married actress Hala Fouad but the marriage did not last. She gave birth to his only son Haitham Zaki in 1984, who would also grow up to be an actor until his sudden and tragic death in 2019. His former wife died in 1993 after a battle with breast cancer. He was a known heavy smoker. In 2005, Ahmed Zaki died of lung cancer during the shooting of Sherif Arafa's biography Halim (2006), in which he portrayed the legendary singer Abdel Halim Hafez, a role he's always dreamed to play. His son Haitham was roped in to fill the scenes and play the lead on behalf of his father. Years after his passing, he is remembered with great reverence and fondness within the film industry and outside it, his contributions seen as monumental by his contemporaries as well as the generations that followed.

Erika Marozsán

Her first movie appearance was in the hit Hungarian film, "Béketárgyalás, avagy az évszázad csütörtökig tart" ("Peace negotiations – This century lasts until Thursday"), released in 1989. She has played primarily in Hungarian films, but also appeared on the HBO hit action thriller, Sniper 2, with Tom Berenger and Bokeem Woodbine, as well as Gloomy Sunday and One Day Crossing, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2001. Marozsán's father is Hungarian-Armenian, and her name is the Hungarian version of an Armenian family name. Marozsán's maternal grandmother, Amalia Pincesi (née Weisz), was Jewish. Marozsán graduated from the Budapest Academy of Drama and Film in 1995 and then became a member of Új Színház ("New Theatre") in Budapest. Her favorite actresses are Sophie Marceau and Famke Janssen. Michele Lepe

Biography

Michele Lepe is best known for her role as Nina on The Good Night Show which aired on the Sprout Network (now known as Universal Kids) from 2006-2017. She wrote countless episodes for the show and served as spokesperson for the network over the years, even appearing on the network's float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 6 years. She also served as Executive Producer and co-creator of Nina's World, an animated spin-off show featuring her character, Nina, as a young girl. She voices the character Mami alongside legendary actress Rita Moreno who voices the character Abuelita. Michele appears in many television and radio commercials, and on her YouTube channel reading stories for young children.

Shiyas Kareem is an Indian model who has walked the ramp for top designers from India and abroad. He is now one of the contestants in the big reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1. Shiyas Kareem was born and brought up in Perumbavoor, Kochi, Kerela, India. He was one of the top five finalists at the International Mr Grand Sea World 2018 competition held in Bulgaria. Shiyas was selected in the top five along with contestants from Brazil, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, and Iraq. He also participated to win two sub-titles like ‘Mr. Photo Model 2018’ and ‘Popularity Model 2018’. He is the only contestant from India to have entered the competition. Niall James Horan (born 13 September 1993) is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as a member of the boy band 'One Direction'. In 2010, Horan auditioned as a solo artist for the seventh series of the British televised singing competition "The X Factor". He failed to progress, but the guest judge, Nicole Scherzinger, suggested that Niall join 'One Direction', with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. In his career as a member of 'One Direction', he has co-written many songs. He released his first single as a solo artist, "This Town", in 2016. Angela T. White hails from Calgary, Alberta. She studied in France for 3 years (literature, translation and classical theatre (Molière), and acquired a BA and a B.Ed. at the University of Calgary. She is a high school Teacher of languages/music/drama,  putting her heart into inspiring the youth of Alberta. Angela has directed & adapted many stage plays at schools, some of which are: “Romeo & Juliette”, “The Hunchback of Notredame”,  “Le Roi Lion” (Lion King), “Cendrillon” (Cinderella), “La Belle et La Bête” (Beauty & The Beast) and many others. She studied music at the Mount Royal Conservatory, played and toured in Australia, England (Royal Albert’s Hall), and Scotland with the Calgary Youth Orchestra. Angela has been a professional singer, and a Film/Television Actress for many years.  Since 1998 she has worked on 100+ film sets, with Principal Roles, one of which was Bernadette the Waitress in the feature film, “Knockaround Guys” next to Vin Diesel, Seth Green, Barry Pepper, Dennis Hopper and John Malkovich. Some of her other TV/Film credits include featured roles in “Shanghai Noon” (Jackie Chan), “The Other Woman” (Jason Priestly); “The Heidi Fleiss Story” and “The Sheldon Kennedy Story” (Jonathan Scarfe). Angela’s theatre experience spans over a decade, with lead roles in Musical Theatre Productions including “Celeste Romano” – the Vegas Wedding Singer in the off Broadway hit “Tony & Tina’s Wedding”. Other theatre credits include the lead of Katherine in “Untamed”  – a short of “Taming of The Shrew” for the Shakespeare Company. She has “died” and “killed” in countless Terry Shane Murder Mysteries. Since 2005, Angela has been wowing audiences with her quick wit, dazzling charm and soft sultry voice as a Marilyn Monroe Impersonator. She has loved every minute of it and so have the audiences ! She has performed at Hundreds of shows for luminaries including the President of the Hockey Hall of Fame; Radio Host Gerry Forbes, Corporate parties at The Banff Springs Hotel, and many more. Over the last 2 years, she is the Production Manager on the riveting TV Series “Bluff”. This series has been Nominated at The Banff Film Festival and gone on to receive a Nomination for an AMPIA award (Alberta Motion Picture Award) for Best Drama Series. She is also a Producer on the TV Series Project “Offscreen” and plays a co-starring role of  “ Coco-Chanel Monroe. ” Angela was the Production Coordinator for 350 Days – A Wrestling Documentary featuring  Brett Hart and many other renowned wrestlers.  (2014/2015) She has also served as the Producer & Production Manager/Coordinator of Music Videos, most recently Royalty Records – Jason Greeley Video “ Wasn’t That A Party” which got over 30, 000 hits on YouTube, and CMT’s “Come Hell or High Water” written by Sean Hogan, featuring Amber Marshall from the CBC TV Series “Heartland”. This Video has aired on Country Music Television (CMT) since September 9th 2013.

Margaret Mitchell

Biography

Margaret Munnerlyn Mitchell (1900–1949) was an American novelist and journalist best known for her only novel published during her lifetime, the American Civil War-era novel Gone with the Wind, for which she won the National Book Award for Most Distinguished Novel of 1936 and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1937. In recent years, a collection of Mitchell's girlhood writings and a novella she wrote as a teenager, titled Lost Laysen, have been published. A collection of newspaper articles written by Mitchell for The Atlanta Journal was republished in book form. Gone with the Wind was adapted into the 1939 film of the same name, which has been considered to be one of the greatest movies ever made and also received the Academy Award for Best Picture during the 12th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
