Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Biography

John Marley (October 17, 1907 – May 22, 1984) was an American actor who was known for his role as Phil Cavalleri in Love Story and as Jack Woltz— the defiant movie mogul who awakens to find the severed head of his prized horse in his bed—in The Godfather (1972). He starred in John Cassavetes' breakthrough feature Faces (1968) and appeared in The Glitter Dome (1984). Eliza Sam

Biography

Eliza Sam is a Canadian actress based in Hong Kong, currently under contract in TVB. She won the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant in 2009, and went on to win the 2010 Miss Chinese International Pageant. After winning the Miss Chinese Vancouver title 2010, Sam was involved supporting organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society and S.U.C.C.E.S.S.. She won the World Chinese Entrepreneur Scholarship in January 2010, hosted by The 4th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, Canada Founding & Development Society. Sam's family are Hoa, with parents of Chinese descent from Vietnam, and grandparents from Guangdong and Fujian. She was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Eliza has also stated publicly that she is a Christian. She graduated from Surrey's Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2010, with a bachelor's degree in Business as well as a diploma in Marketing Management and a diploma in Fashion Design and Technology. She was an English teacher prior to participating in Miss Chinese International. After winning the Vancouver pageant, Sam represented Vancouver in the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2010 organized by TVB. During her final speech (which was to void points from the previous performance segments) she talked about her Cantonese being weak, and thus spending one year to practice and improve her Cantonese. Sam won the competition under the new voting system. Later she signed with TVB. On 2 December 2016, Sam openly acknowledged her engagement on social media with her out of industry boyfriend Joshua Ngo. They married in Vancouver on 17 December 2016. In mid-June 2018 Sam announced on her social media that her eight-year contract with TVB has come to an end.

Forouzan

Biography

Forouzan (also spelled Foroozan) was born in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran. Her real name was Parvin Kheirbakhsh. She started her career by dubbing films. Her first movie was Sahel-e Entezar. She acted in many popular Iranian films and also worked with visionary directors of the Mowj-e Now, such as Dariush Mehrjui (Dayere-ye Mina) and Ali Hatami (Baba Shamal). She started her cinematic career as a voice-over actress. In 1964 she starred in Siamak Yasemi's Sahele Entezar, but it was Ganje Qarun, another film by Yasemi, that made her very famous. She co-starred in this film with Fardin. After Ganj-e Qarun Fardin and Forouzan made a golden cinematic couple and co-starred in some of the highest-grossing films of the era, known as Persian Films or Film Farsi (in Persian: Filme Farsi). Persian Film was the popular genre of movies produced in Iran before the Iranian revolution of 1979. Siamak Yasemi, Iraj Ghaderi, Shapur Gharib and Fereydun Goleh were some of the other famous directors that she collaborated with. After the 1979 revolution Forouzan was banned from playing in movies and grew more and more isolated. She rarely conducted interviews and died on 24 January 2016 in Tehran. Biography

Arjun Sarja is an Indian film actor, producer and director known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema.In 1993, he starred in S. Shankar's blockbuster Gentleman which opened to positive reviews, while Arjun went on to win the State Award for Best Actor. Arjun Sarja was born to a Kannada family in Madhugiri,in the erstwhile Mysore State. His father was Shakthi Prasad, a Kannada film actor, and his mother was Lakshmi, an art teacher. Sarja, inspired by Bruce Lee's 1973 film Enter the Dragon, began training Karate at the age of 16 and now holds a black belt.

Brendan Bradley

Biography

Born and raised in North Carolina, Brendan graduated with Honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. To further hone his skills, Brendan spent time in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). When not on stage or in class, Brendan dedicated himself to developing and producing independent films and theater throughout New York City. His first play, Jettison, received productions in Manhattan and Miami and was published a year later. Brendan first moved to Los Angeles to film September 12th for which he won the Methodfest Best Actor Award in 2009. Robert Francis "Bobcat" Goldthwait is an American screen and voice actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film and television director. He became recognized as a solo stand-up comedian and had a record "Meat Bob" and two televised concert specials in the 1980s. During the fall of 1993, he performed stand-up material as an opening act for Nirvana on what would be their final North American tour. Ruta Gedmintas

Biography

Ruta was born on 23 August 1983. She grew up in Stockholm and then Buckinghamshire. Gedmintas was born in England to Lithuanian Parents, and trained at the Drama Centre London under Reuven Adiv. She appeared in Spooks: Code 9 as Rachel Harris, a former police officer. She has also had guest roles in the BBC's Waking the Dead and ITV1's The Bill. Her most prominent roles to date are as Elizabeth Blount in Showtime's The Tudors. In 2010 she worked on the independent films - Zerosome and Atletu (aka The Athlete); and then starred as Frankie in BBC Three's Lip Service. She debuted on Do No Harm, an American drama on January 31, 2013 on NBC. She plays Olvia Flynn as a main character. The new programme had 3.3 millions viewers on the first episode.
