Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Elizabeth Alexander

Biography

Elizabeth Alexander (born 21 August 1952) is an Australian actress, director and teacher. Alexanders' acting career began early with a part in the series Bellbird in 1967. However, it was straight from graduating at National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) that she got her big break with the part of Esther Wolcott in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) series Seven Little Australians. Alexander has also directed a number of plays and written several screenplays, including a short film titled Memento (which was sold to Village Roadshow) which she also directed, about the emotional problems caused by the return of a father to his family, a young boy and his mother. She currently works at Queenwood School for Girls as a dramatic arts teacher.

Dennis Christopher (born Dennis Carrelli on December 2, 1955) is an American actor. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is known for playing Dave Stoller in Breaking Away and tragic film buff psychopath Eric Binford in Fade to Black. His Golden Globe-nominated breakthrough role was as Dave Stohler in the coming-of-age classic Breaking Away (1979). Other roles include American track star Charlie Paddock in Chariots of Fire, and Fade to Black, science fiction movies like Plughead Rewired: Circuitry Man II. He has appeared in nearly 40 movies and made-for-TV movies since 1975. Television roles include "Jack of All Trades" in the Profiler TV series, Eddie Kaspbrak in Stephen King's It, Desmond Floyd in Jake Speed, and in the HBO series Deadwood. Christopher has guest starred in two Star Trek episodes: the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "The Search (Part II)" and the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Detained". He also guest-starred as the demon-sorcerer Cyvus Vail in three episodes of Angel. Christopher had a reunion with Breaking Away "father" Paul Dooley, again as his son, in an episode of TV's Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The two had first played father and son in Robert Altman's A Wedding. In December 2006 he played Dr. Martin Ruber in the Sci Fi Channel miniseries The Lost Room.

Actor, filmmaker / producer.  As an actor Evan has starred or co-starred in various film and television projects including "Down and Out in Beverly Hills" and the television series of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures". As a filmmaker, Evan's short film "Woman X" was shortlisted for a BAFTA award and was shown on HBO and Starz. His other short film that he wrote and starred in "Cloud Nine" was a Skky Vodka Short Film Festival finalist and was seen on HBO. His debut feature film as a writer / director "In a Day" played numerous festivals and won various awards. After a theatrical run in Los Angeles, "In a Day" was picked up for distribution by IFC Films. It was also sold to territories worldwide. "In a Day" was also seen on the Sundance Channel and Netflix. It can currently be purchased (dvd) or streamed via Amazon, iTunes and other online platforms. His most recent filmmaking projects as writer / director: is the short film "There's a Monster Behind You", which premiered at the Telluride Horror Show Film Festival and won Best Horror Comedy Short film at Oregon Scream Week Film Festival. Also as writer / director is the short film "Two People, One Ring" which premiered at CineKink Film Festival NYC, was nominated for Best Short Film at the British Independent Film Festival and was nominated for Best Actress at the Portland Comedy Film Festival. These two shorts had a broadcast premiere on the ShortsTV channel in 2020.

Guillaume Emmanuel Marie de Quengo de Tonquédec (born 18 October 1966) is a French stage, television and film actor. He first earned fame in his homeland for his role as Renaud Lepic in the TV series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça (2007–2017) on France 2, before winning the César Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in What's in a Name? in 2013. De Tonquédec was made a Knight in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2015 by Minister of Culture Fleur Pellerin. A native of Paris, Guillaume de Tonquédec grew up in Louveciennes. He studied economics and English at Paris Nanterre University until he joined the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris in 1986 for a three-year programme. In 1989, he began his stage career with a national tour in John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World. He gained recognition in film in Krzysztof Kieslowski's The Double Life of Veronique (1991), followed by his role as Claude Jade's son Jules Martin in List of Merite (1992). In 1996, he starred in Raúl Ruiz's Three Lives and Only One Death. In 2007, De Tonquédec started starring in the successful TV series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça, which propelled him to stardom in France alongside fellow actors Valérie Bonneton, Isabelle Gélinas and Bruno Salomone. In 2013, he won the César Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Claude Gatignol in What's in a Name?. Co-star Valérie Benguigui won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Élisabeth Garraud-Larchet. De Tonquédec had been nominated two years prior for the Molière Award for Best Supporting Actor for the same role he held in the eponymous play in Paris's Théâtre Édouard VII, upon which the film was based.
