Biography

Pablo Stoll (born 1974, in Montevideo – July 5, 2006) was a Uruguayan film director and screenwriter. He attended the Catholic University of Uruguay where he studied Social communication, there he met Pablo Stoll and producer Fernando Epstein, and the three of them founded Ctrl Z. After graduating in 1999 he and Stoll directed their first feature film, 25 Watts (2001), it went on to win several international awards. In 2004 Rebella and Stoll released their second feature film, Whisky. It premiered at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival opening to much acclaim, receiving the Un Certain Regard award.

Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Alessandra Rosaldo (born Alejandra Sanchez Barraro; September 11, 1971) is an actress, singer and dancer from Mexico. In 2006, she was the winner of the first prize in Televisa Network's, later broadcast in Univision Bailando por un Sueño. As an actress, she has played main and supporting roles in Mexican TV’s soap operas. She has sold over 4 million records in the Spanish-speaking world as the lead singer of her own pop music band Sentidos Opuestos as well in her solo singer career, for which she received the Lo Nuestro Award for Rock New Artist of the Year at the 16th Lo Nuestro Awards.

Tania Balachova

Biography

Tania Balachova (Russian: Таня Балашова, diminutive of Татьяна Павловна Балашова [Tatiana Pavlovna Balachova]) (1902-1973) was a French actress and director of Russian origin. After World War II, she would become one of the most influential actor training teachers in France. Balachova was born in Saint Petersburg on February 25, 1902. Her family emigrated to Brussels, where she studied at the Royal Conservatory. It was at the conservatory that she met her future husband, the Belgian actor Raymond Rouleau. Balachova and Rouleau married and moved together to Paris. There, they collaborated with Gaston Baty, Charles Dullin, Louis Jouvet, Georges Pitoëff and Antonin Artaud, among others. They separated in 1940, though they continued to work together professionally. She originated the role of Inès in Jean-Paul Sartre's Huis Clos [No Exit] at the Vieux-Colombier Theatre in May 1944. She went on to become one of the most influential actor-training teachers in France, training many of the next generation of theatre and cinema talent in France. Actress and Improvisor Elisa Gabrielli began her professional career with the highly acclaimed Mirror Repertory Company in New York, working closely and often with Inner-City Improv and New Dramatists. Theatrical credits include Emily in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses", Miss Wellington in "You Can't Take It With You", Kate in "The Taming of the Shrew", Meg in "Merrily We Roll Along" and Ado Annie in "Oklahoma!". Film and television credits include The Brady Bunch Movie, Seven Girlfriends and ER , among others. She is attached to act in the upcoming film "Ten Shots of Tequila", currently in development. Working extensively in Voice-Over, Narration and Animation, Elisa is the voice of the cranky Old Lady "Nana" in DreamWorks's "Madagascar" and "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa", as well as having numerous voices in "Kung Fu Panda", "Shrek", "Mulan", "Open Season 2" a " A Shark's Tale", among many others. Her narration includes projects for the United Nations, the LA History Museum , The Getty Villa and various documentaries. Elisa lives happily in Los Angeles with her husband, fellow actor and musician Floyd VanBuskirk.

Peters was born in Richmond, Virginia and raised by his father John Peters, a United Methodist minister, and Julie Peters, a registered nurse. He has one older brother. He has been married to Susan Burke since 2013. They have one child together, born in 2016.Peters has been featured in many projects produced by Jenji Kohan including Orange is the New Black, Weeds, American Princess and Teenage Bounty Hunters. Peters was a production assistant on the Showtime series Weeds, before being cast for the role of Gayle in 2010. As a comedian, Peters has performed at venues and colleges all over the country. He was host of the long-running stand-up showcase Blam Blam Blam! based in Koreatown, Los Angeles for seven years.

Bernhard Wicki

​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Bernhard Wicki  (28 October 1919 in St. Pölten, Austria - 5 January 2000 in Munich) was an Austrian actor and film director. Wicki studied in the city of Breslau such topics as Art History, History und German Literature. In 1938, he transferred to the Schauspielschule des Staatlichen Schauspielhauses (drama school) in Berlin. In 1939, because of his membership in the Bündischen Jugend he was imprisoned for many months in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. After his release he moved to Vienna, and then in 1944 to Switzerland. After the end of World War II, he starred in many films, like Die letzte Brücke (1953) and Es geschah am 20. Juli (1955). He was also a photographer. His first attempt at directing came three years later with the documentary Warum sind sie gegen uns? (1958). He became internationally famous with his anti-war film of 1959 called Die Brücke. In 1961, he won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 11th Berlin International Film Festival for his film The Miracle of Father Malachia. After his death in 2001, a fund was started and named after him in Munich, the Bernhard Wicki Memorial Fund. Since 2002, it has awarded a film prize, The Bridge, considered a peace prize. A further prize was endowed in 2006 with 15,000 euros, a prize given in the city of Emden since 2000. He was a patron of the International Film Festival in Emden-Norderney which first started in 1990. He first married Agnes Fink, a fellow acting colleague, and later married Elisabeth Endriss, also a colleague. In the documentary Verstörung - und eine Art von Poesie (June, 2007), Elisabeth Wicki-Endriss portrayed the life and work for Wicki. He is buried at the Nymphenburger cemetery in Munich (grave number 4-1-23). Marnie McPhail Diamond is a well-known American-born Canadian actress and musician. She is famous for her roles as Maria Wong in Braceface, Annie Edison in The Edison Twins, and Peaches in JoJo's Circus. McPhail was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, U.S. She later moved to Toronto, Ontario, where she attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts. When she was 14 years old, she got her first major role as Annie Edison in the children's television series The Edison Twins (1982). On the set of Scared Silent (2002), McPhail met her husband, Reed Diamond, and they have been happily married since 2004. Both McPhail and her husband are members of the rock band "Chuck Valiant," with McPhail as the lead singer and Diamond playing the guitar.

Johann Urb (born January 24, 1977 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian-American actor and former model. Johann Urb was born in Tallinn to parents Tarmo and Maris Urb. His father is an Estonian musician and the brother of actor and singer Toomas Urb. At the age of ten, he moved to live in Finland with his mother and her new Finnish husband, where he was raised primarily in Tampere. After turning 17, Urb moved to the United States, where his father lived, and began his career in modeling in New York City, which led him later on to pursuing a career in acting.
