Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Reda Kateb (born 27 July 1977) is a French actor. Kateb was born in Ivry-sur-Seine, France, to an Algerian actor, Malek-Eddine Kateb, and a French nurse of Czech and Italian origin. He is a grandnephew of the Algerian writer Kateb Yacine. He grew up in Ivry-sur-Seine, in the Paris region, where he lived until 2011 before moving to Montreuil. Bruno Langley

Biography

British actor who came to fame playing Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street, a role he played on and off for sixteen years from 2001 to 2017. He was sacked from the show in October 2017 prior to his pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault in November of that year. He was sentenced to a twelve month community order and registered as a sex offender. Langley also played Adam Mitchell, a brief companion to Christopher Eccleston's Doctor in the 2005 series and appeared as Damon in the movie The League of Gentlemen Apocalypse.

Nacio Herb Brown

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Ignacio "Nacio" Herb Brown (February 22, 1896 – September 28, 1964) was an American writer of popular songs, movie scores, and Broadway theatre music in the 1920s through the early 1950s. Ignacio Herb Brown (some sources indicate his birth name was Ignacio Herbert Brown) was born in Deming, New Mexico to Ignacio and Cora Brown. He had an older sister, Charlotte. In 1901 his family moved to Los Angeles, where he attended Manual Arts High School. His music education started with instruction from his mother, Cora Alice (Hopkins) Brown. Brown first operated a tailoring business (1916), and then became a financially successful realtor, but he always wrote and played. After his first hit "Coral Sea" (1920) and first big hit, "When Buddha Smiles" (1921), he eventually became a full-time composer. He joined The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in 1927. In 1928 he was hired to work in Hollywood by MGM and write film scores for the new medium of sound film. For his film work, he often collaborated with lyricist Arthur Freed. Their music is collected for the most part in Singin' in the Rain. He appeared in the MGM variety film The Hollywood Revue of 1929. Brown also worked with Richard A. Whiting and Buddy De Sylva on Broadway Musicals such as Take a Chance. Along with L. Wolfe Gilbert, Nacio wrote the music for the popular children's television western, Hopalong Cassidy which first aired in 1949. He spent two days in the UCSF Medical Center, then died on September 28, 1964 in San Francisco, California at the home of his children, Nacio Jan Brown and Candace Nacio Brown.

Gorgeous, buxom and voluptuous blonde knockout Suzi Simpson was born Susan Athena Simpson on November 16, 1968 in Athens, Greece. Her father was a Navy officer and her mother was a flight attendant. The eldest of four children, Simpson has two brothers and one sister. She has lived in such coastal areas as Maine, Florida, and California. A Roman Catholic, Suzi attended the all-girl St. Mary's Academy high school. In 1983 Simpson was voted the Homecoming Queen of Virginia Military Institute. In 1984 she won the Miss District of Columbia Teen USA Pageant. Suzi began modeling to raise money to go to dental school. She appeared in a TV commercial for Pepsi with Michael Jackson and was featured in the music video for "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith. Jaromír Nohavica pochází z Ostravy. První píseň napsal již v osmi letech. Na kytaru hraje od svých třinácti let, přičemž původně jeho otec chtěl, aby hrál na housle, k těm ale nepřilnul. Sám se však navíc naučil hrát na několik hudebních nástrojů. V letech 1978–1981 dálkově studoval na SŠ knihovnické v Brně. Začal také studovat na Vysoké škole báňské, ale studia přerušil, vystřídal několik zaměstnání, načež raději zůstal volným textařem. V tomto oboru se proslavil textem Lásko, voníš deštěm pro Marii Rottrovou (She’s Gone od Black Sabbath), ale psal také například pro Věru Špinarovou ad. Později začal samostatně vystupovat, v posledních letech i s kapelou. Spolupracoval s méně významnými regionálními kapelami, ale také například se skupinou Čechomor. Jako herec ztvárnil roku 2002 hlavní roli „Jarka Nohavici“ ve filmu Petra Zelenky Rok ďábla. Postupně se stal jedním z nejpopulárnějších zpěváků a v roce 2004 získal i některá ocenění. Časopis Rock & pop vyhodnotil jako nejlepší české album od roku 1989 Nohavicovo Divné století. Akademie populární hudby zařadila při vyhlašování výsledků ceny Anděl 2003 Nohavicu do Síně slávy a byl nominován ve dvou dalších kategoriích. Bydlí v Ostravě, předtím žil v Českém Těšíně. Má ženu Martinu a dvě děti – syna Jakuba a dceru Lenku. V roce 1997 získal titul mistra republiky ve stolní hře scrabble. Jeho literárním oblíbencem je Bohumil Hrabal.
