Helga Liné

Biography

Helga Liné, was born July 14, 1932 as Helga Lina Stern in Berlin, Germany. When Hitler invaded the major part of Europe and extended his pursuit of Jews in their territories, Liné became one of many child refugees who made the dangerous exodus to Portugal for safety. There, she worked as a circus acrobat, contortionist and dancer and landed film roles as a teen and young adult after winning a beauty contest, though it wouldn't be until she relocated to Madrid in 1960 that her career really started taking off. Liné would go on to make over 100 appearances between 1960 and 2006 in films produced all over Europe. She acted in peplum, spaghetti westerns and Euro-spy potboilers, but her best known work would end up being a variety of horror pictures, which allowed her to act alongside such genre icons as Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Barbara Steele and Paul Naschy, as well as several notable roles in Pedro Almodovar films.

Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Natalie Dormer

Biography

An English actress, Dormer is best known for her roles as Anne Boleyn in the Showtime series The Tudors and as Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Dormer was born in Reading, Berkshire and attended Chiltern Edge Secondary School before moving to Reading Blue Coat School, an independent boys' school that admits girls in the sixth form. She grew up with her stepfather, mother, sister Samantha, and brother Mark. She has said that she was the victim of bullying while at school. At school, Dormer was head girl, a straight-A student, vice-captain of the school netball team and she also got to travel the world with her school's public speaking team. During her school years, Dormer trained in dance at the Allenova School of Dancing. She describes herself as the "academic hopeful" of the family and was offered a place to study history at Cambridge; but, in her A-level History exam, she did not achieve the A grade she needed to attend. Dormer decided she would audition for drama schools and decided to train at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Michael Sacks

Michael Sacks (born September 11, 1948) is an American actor and tech executive who played the role of Billy Pilgrim in George Roy Hill's Slaughterhouse Five, an adaptation from the novel by Kurt Vonnegut. Sacks also appeared in Steven Spielberg's The Sugarland Express, as the kidnapped highway patrolman; The Amityville Horror, as James Brolin's character's friend and coworker; and Hanover Street, with Harrison Ford. On Broadway, he was the bewildered Viet Nam vet "Mark" in Kennedy's Children by Robert Patrick. He apparently retired from the entertainment industry in 1984; his last role was in the made for TV film Why Me?, with Annie Potts. After spending time working in technology positions on Wall Street, Sacks in 2004 joined the online bond trading company, MarketAxess, as head of global applications development. He was employed by Morgan Stanley from 1994 to 2004, as executive director, global head of bond technology for the fixed income division. Other assignments at MS included chief operating officer for fixed income technology and global head of technology for the foreign exchange division. Prior to Morgan Stanley he held positions at Salomon Brothers, Inc. and IBM Research Division. Mr. Sacks has an A.B. in Social Relations from Harvard College and a M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University. Andrew Bee

Biography

Andrew Bee was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He arrived on a beautiful summer day, June 28, 1962. The middle of three siblings, he grew up in a very negative household. His estranged father was an alcoholic and died when Andrew was eight. His mother raised the three children primarily by herself with the help of her own mother who lived with them. When Andrew was thirteen, right around the time his mother was diagnosed with cancer, his grandmother died. After multiple operations, his mother finally succumbed to the disease six years later. Andrew was nineteen. As a small child Andrew always knew he wanted to act. Unfortunately, his dream was sidetracked as dreams often are and it took almost forty years to find it again. Along the way he worked on the oil rigs in northern Alberta, became a journeyman communications electrician, sold menswear in several different stores, had a short stint as a model in Calgary and Toronto and finally discovered ballroom and Latin dancing, for which he realized he had an affinity. After more than twenty years of teaching and winning multiple awards, in 2009, he found his way back to the dream.

Jay Wasley (born November 19, 1981) is a producer, director, cinematographer, and audio engineer, that has worked professionally in production since 2001, but has been creating films, music, and art since childhood. His professional career has brought him all over the world working on dozens of feature films, major network television shows, national commercials, and many other projects. He is best known for his work on The Travel Channel's paranormal investigation series Ghost Adventures, which he joined the crew in season 4 as their sound mixer, eventually evolving into an on-camera Audio Visual Tech/Investigator as well as one of the cinematographers. Omar Parada

Biography

Omar Gregorio Parada (1922-1987) was an Uruguayan filmmaker. He was member of Cine Universitario del Uruguay (1972-1975) and of Grupo de Cine Montevideo. In Buenos Aires, he contributed to the organization and programming of the Cine Club Amigos de Cinemateca Argentina. Parada's work is representative of Uruguayan cinema during the period 1950-1970. He wrote and directed five films, documentaries and fiction shorts in 16 mm, including A Holiday (Un feriado) in 1952 and Topic of Illness and Death (Tema de enfermedad y muerte) in 1953. Miguelete: Heads and Tails of a Stream (Miguelete: cara y cruz de un arroyo, 1952) is considered one of the first documentary about contaminated water in Uruguay. His science fiction film Maybe Tomorrow (Tal vez mañana, 1966) was awarded the best film of Uruguay in 1966. Montevideo Today (Montevideo hoy, 1968-1972), a documentary film about the political and social reality of Uruguay, was taken by the military dictatorship (1973-1985) and is now lost.

Kaoru Matsumoto (松本 香, Matsumoto Kaoru), better known by her ring name Dump Matsumoto (ダンプ松本, Danpu Matsumoto), is a semi-retired Japanese professional wrestler. She came to prominence as one of the leading female wrestlers in All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling during the 1980s. The longtime leader of the stable Gokuaku Domei — which included Crane Yu, Condor Saito and Bull Nakano — she was one of the main rivals of the popular tag team Crush Gals. Their long running feud would become extremely popular in Japan during the 1980s, with their televised matches resulting in some of the highest rated in Japanese television as well as the promotion regularly selling out arenas.
