Zoe Saldaña

Biography

Zoë Yadira Saldaña-Perego (born June 19, 1978) is an American actress. Known primarily for her work in science fiction film franchises, she has appeared in the three highest-grossing films of all time (Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water and Avengers: Endgame), a feat not achieved by any other performer. Films she has appeared in have grossed more than $14 billion worldwide and, as of 2023, she is the second-highest-grossing film actress, and the fourth actor overall. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2023. A trained dancer, Saldaña began her acting career in two 1999 episodes of Law & Order. Her first film role was in Center Stage (2000) in which she played a ballet dancer. She received early recognition for her work opposite Britney Spears in the road film Crossroads (2002). Beginning in 2009, Saldaña achieved a career breakthrough with her roles as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek film series and Neytiri in James Cameron's Avatar film series. She portrayed Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). In addition to franchise work, Saldaña has starred in the science fiction film The Adam Project and the romantic drama miniseries From Scratch, both for Netflix in 2022.

Gilbert M. Anderson

Biography

Born in 1880, ‘Broncho Billy’ Anderson is considered the first western film star. He played three film roles in “The Great Train Robbery” and then began to write, direct and act in his own films. After co-founding the Essanay Studios in 1907 with George Kirk Spoor, Anderson appeared in some 300 short films. But it was his 148 western shorts playing cowboy Bronco Billy that made him a star. He retired for the first time in 1916 but made a few comebacks, including producing movies into the 1950s for his company, Progressive Pictures. He received an honorary Oscar in 1958 as a “motion picture pioneer.” Anderson came out of retirement one more time for a cameo in 1965’s “The Bounty Hunter.” He died at age of 90 1971.

Artis Leon Ivey Jr. (August 1, 1963 – September 28, 2022), known professionally as Coolio, was an American rapper, record producer, and actor. Coolio achieved mainstream success in the mid-to-late 1990s with his albums It Takes a Thief (1994), Gangsta's Paradise (1995), and My Soul (1997). He was best known for his 1995 Grammy Award-winning hit single "Gangsta's Paradise", as well as other singles "Fantastic Voyage" (1994), "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New)" (1996), and "C U When U Get There" (1997). Alexander Payne

Biography

Constantine Alexander Payne (born February 10, 1961) is an American film director and screenwriter. His films are noted for their dark humor and satirical depictions of contemporary American society. Payne has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award and three Golden Globe Awards as well as a nomination for a Grammy Award. After directing several short films, Payne made his feature film debut with the black comedy Citizen Ruth (1996). His career progressed with the political satire Election (1999), for which he received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and the comedy-drama About Schmidt (2002). Payne twice won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for co-writing his directorials Sideways (2004) and The Descendants (2011). He was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for these two films and for the road film Nebraska (2013). He has since directed Downsizing (2017) and the period film The Holdovers (2023). In a 2018 interview with Ronan Farrow, actress Rose McGowan accused a "prominent” man in Hollywood of statutory rape but she did not name the person in question. In August 2020, McGowan said it was Payne and that he committed the act sometime in 1988 or 1989, when McGowan was 15 years old and Payne was about 28 years old. Payne responded to McGowan's allegation by writing a guest column in Deadline Hollywood in which he admitted to a consensual relationship with her, but denied any impropriety, alleging that they had met in 1991 when she was over the age of consent, which is 18 in California. Payne ended his statement writing, "While I cannot allow false statements about events 29 years ago to go uncorrected, I will continue to wish only the best for Rose".

Paul Blain is an American actor who has been in the entertainment industry for a decade. He is best known for his roles in films such as Hooking Up, Jekyll and Hyde Retold, and Out of the Shadow. He has also appeared in television shows such as Empire, and All Screwed Up. Blain has received fifteen nominations for his work and won four awards, including two Best Short Film awards. Blain also has a successful career as a model, with clients such as Sony, Connoisseur Paris, and KIA Motors. Blain was born in Leonard Michigan in 1986. After graduating, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he pursued a career as a first responder. It was in Houston where he discovered his love for acting and made the decision to change careers. Blain is married to Leanne Alexis Blain, and the couple has two dogs together. He is also an active philanthropist, and has been involved in a number of charitable causes. He is a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project, and has also been involved in the fight to end homelessness.

She's known for her TV roles as Cameron Howe on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire, and Kristen Raymonde on the miniseries Station Eleven, this latter role earned her a Critics' Choice Super Award for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series. She's also known for her film roles as Grace Harper in Terminator: Dark Fate, the title character in Tully, Mariette in Blade Runner 2049, Mindy Park in The Martian, Chelsea in That Awkward Moment, and Nicole in What If (original title: The F Word), for this last role she was nominated for the Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. Michael Lockwood

Michael John "Mike" Lockwood was an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Crash Holly (or simply Crash), in the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) promotion. Lockwood wrestled on the independent circuit, briefly for Extreme Championship Wrestling, before signing a contract with the World Wrestling Federation in 1999. He debuted as Hardcore Holly's storyline cousin, Crash Holly. He found his greatest success in WWF/E's Hardcore Division, winning the WWE Hardcore Championship 22 times and earning the nickname "The Houdini Of Hardcore" for his ability to escape tricky situations with his championship intact. In June 2003, he was released from WWE and joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as Mad Mikey, a perpetually angry character. He remained with TNA until he died four months later. As well as a Hardcore Champion, he was a one-time European Champion, a one-time Light Heavyweight Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion, with Hardcore Holly (The Holly Cousins).

Kirat Bhattal (born 26 January 1985 in Monrovia, Liberia), professionally known as Kirat or Keerath in South India, is an Indian film actress. She debuted in modelling roles and then made a breakthrough in the Tamil film industry. She married VJ-actor Gaurav Kapur on 2 November 2014. Kirat debuted in Dongodi Pelli, a Telugu film. She was then signed by Saran for her first major film, Vattaram, after Anushka Shetty pulled out of the project. Vattaram also features Arya and Napoleon. Vattaram tells the story of a gun seller's love. Arya expressed his desire to work with Kirat again in the future after Vattaram.

She has one elder sister, Ratna Pathak, also a theatre artiste and film actor. She grew up in Parsi Colony in Dadar, Mumbai, and attended the J. B. Vachha High school.
