Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Biography

Risto Vaidla (born June 29, 1993 in Kärdla) is an Estonian actor. In 2016, he graduated from the XXVII flight of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater School of Performing Arts, majoring in acting (course supervisors Peeter Raudsepp and Katariina Unt). Since 2019, Risto Vaidla has been working as an actor in the Estonian Youth Theater. He has also taken part in the productions of Theatrum, Teatri Kelm, VAT Theatre, Kuressaare City Theater and Endla. In films, his most significant role has been in Sulev Keedus's film "Manslayer/Virgin/Shadow" (2017), where he played Heino Moss in the short story "Virgin". He played Rasmus Uber in the TV3 drama series "Kättemaksukontor" in 2016-2017. In Tanel Toomi's feature film "Truth and Justice", he played the son of Andres and Krõõt.

Rena Owen

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Rena Owen is a New Zealand actress in film, theatre and television. She is of Maori and Pakeha (European) descent. Owen is most well known in the lead role of Beth in the cult classic movie Once Were Warriors (1994) directed by Lee Tamahori. The role earned Owen a number of awards including Best Actress at the Montreal World Film Festival and San Diego International Film Festival. Owen has also worked with arthouse director Rolf de Heer, one of Australia's most well known directors, in the film Dance Me to My Song (1998). Owen played the role of Rix in the movie which earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the AFI Awards. Roos Ouwehand (Leidschendam, October 28, 1968) is a Dutch actress and scriptwriter. In addition to acting, she writes columns for NRC Handelsblad. In 1993 she graduated from the Toneelschool in Amsterdam. Then she joined Toneelgroep Amsterdam, where she played until 2002. She played in films like Filmpje! from Paul de Leeuw, Lawyer of the Roosters and Live !. On television she is known for her role as Zeeland Girl in the eponymous youth series, her role as Hannah de Swaan at Keyzer & De Boer Advocaten and her role as Mylene Mortanges in Blood Relatives. Sara Ullrika Watkins (born June 8, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter and fiddler. Watkins debuted in 1989 as fiddler and founding member of the progressive bluegrass group Nickel Creek along with her brother Sean and mandolinist Chris Thile. In addition to singing and fiddling, Watkins also plays the ukulele and the guitar, and also played percussion while touring with the Decemberists. With Nickel Creek, Watkins released five studio albums, one compilation album, and seven singles. During the band's seven-year hiatus, Watkins released three solo albums: Sara Watkins and Sun Midnight Sun on Nonesuch Records and Young in All the Wrong Ways on New West Records.

Giuliano Montaldo

Biography

Born in 1930 in Genoa. Still a young student in 1950 when director Carlo Lizzani gave him a role in the film Achtung Banditi!. Following this experience he traveled to Rome where, after acting in film and theatre, he became the Assistant Director of Lizzani, Gillo Pontecorvo, Sergio Leone, Francesco Rosi. In 1960 he made his debut as a Director with Tiro Al piccione, a film about the Partisan Resistance, on competition at the 1961 Venice Film Festival. In 1964 he directed La Moglie Svedese, an episode of the film Extraconiugale. With his second movie, Una Bella Grinta, won the special prize of the jury at the Berlin Film Festival in 1965, a film about a social climber in Italy during the time of the economic miracle. That year he also directed the second unit of Pontecorvo's masterpiece The Battle Of Algiers.

Sylvia Lopez

Biography

Sylvia Lopez (November 10, 1933 – November 20, 1959) was a French model and actress. Born Tatjana Bernt, she was raised in Paris, where she began a career in modelling. Eventually she modeled for couturier Jacques Fath, the first French fashion designer to export his creations to the United States. Appearing under the name "Sylvia Sinclair", Bernt earned enough exposure to attract the attention of film producers. In November 1956 she became the second wife of the composer Francis Lopez. Lopez made her first of two French-language films following which she appeared in several Italian swashbucklers with American stars such as Steve Reeves and Lex Barker that were commercially successful and for which she received favorable reviews. Diagnosed with leukemia, Lopez died a few months after she withdrew while working on the set of a film Voulez-vous danser avec moi? (which was posthumously released a month later) with Brigitte Bardot. Sylvia Lopez is interred in the Cimetière du Montparnasse in Paris. 5 years later a song called Mon amie la rose was written by Cécile Caulier and first sung by Françoise Hardy, as a single from her third album of the same name. Pedro Cardoso (born December 31, 1962) is a Brazilian actor, screenwriter, playwright, writer and television director. He is best known for his role as Agostinho Carrara on the Rede Globo sitcom "A Grande Família", for which he was nominated for an International Emmy Award for best actor. Pedro Cardoso was born in Rio de Janeiro, the second of six children in a prominent family. His father was a well-succeed lawyer, while his grandfather was the president of Banco do Brasil. He is also a second cousin to Fernando Henrique Cardoso, a former President of Brazil. Cardoso left home when he was at 18 years due to "paternal guidance and youthful pride". He started to work on theaters as an illuminator. Eventually, he debuted as a stage actor in 1980. In 1982, he debuted as playwright with "Bar Doce Bar", a play co-authored by Felipe Pinheiro, in which Cardoso was also an actor. He received a Troféu Mambembe for best newcomer actor. Since then, he has directed and wrote several plays along with Pinheiro, and alone before Pinheiro's death, as well as acted in them. He also worked in television as an actor, director and screenwriter. He has also a career in cinema; working mostly as an actor. Cardoso co-wrote "Lisbela e o Prisioneiro" and produced T"odo Mundo Tem Problemas Sexuais".

Magalie Lépine-Blondeau studied theater at Cégep de Saint-Laurent, then at The National Theater School of Canada. After she obtained her degree, she made many appearances on television, cinema, and theater. She dubs characters in hundreds of films and series. She also lends her voice to Tamara Hope.
