Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Geoffrey Lewis

Biography

Geoffrey Bond Lewis (July 31, 1935 – April 7, 2015) was an American character actor. His filmography includes television shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and My Name is Earl, as well as films such as Down in the Valley, alongside Edward Norton, The Butcher, alongside Eric Roberts, Maverick, alongside Mel Gibson, and When Every Day Was the Fourth of July alongside Dean Jones. In 1979, Lewis co-starred as a gravedigger turned vampire in the cult classic made-for-television movie Salem's Lot. Lewis has worked frequently with actor-director Clint Eastwood in several films including Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Pink Cadillac, Any Which Way You Can, Bronco Billy, Every Which Way But Loose, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and High Plains Drifter. Stanley Smith

Biography

Stanley Smith was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 6 1903. Smith had to overcome family objections before making his career on the stage -- his father's family were bankers and his mother's dealt in lumber. He attended Hollywood High School and in his teens appeared at the Hollywood Bowl as Robin Hood. He was discovered by Lenore Ulric and given his first chance in 'Kiki' then played in stock for six years. Smith returned to the West Coast to perform in "The Royal Family." The handsome actor -- 5 feet 11 inches, 160 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes -- attracted the attention of Pathe studios which signed the local boy. He played leading man to Nancy Carroll, Clara Bow, and Ginger Rogers in the days of the early talkies.

Eileen Brennan

Biography

Eileen Brennan (September 3, 1932 – July 28, 2013) was an American actress who was known for her versatile performances in film, television, and theater. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Captain Doreen Lewis in the 1980 comedy film Private Benjamin. She also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Mrs. Hughes in the television series Newhart. Brennan was born in Los Angeles, California, and began her acting career in the theater. She made her Broadway debut in 1963 in the musical Little Mary Sunshine. She went on to appear in several other Broadway musicals, including Hello, Dolly! and Annie. Brennan made her film debut in the 1967 satire Divorce American Style. She followed this with supporting roles in the films The Last Picture Show (1971), The Cheap Detective (1978), and The First Wives Club (1996). She also starred in the films Clue (1985) and Sister Act (1992). In addition to her film and theater work, Brennan also had a successful television career. She appeared in numerous television shows, including The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, Cheers, and Will & Grace. She died on July 28, 2013, at the age of 80, from complications of multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects plasma cells, a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight infection. Brennan was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2001. She underwent treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy. She continued to work and act throughout her treatment, and she even appeared in the 2011 film The Big Year. In 2013, Brennan's health began to decline. She died on July 28, 2013, at her home in Los Angeles. She was survived by her husband, David John Lampson, and her daughter, Emily.

Burnie Burns

Biography

Michael Justin "Burnie" Burns (born 1973) is an independent filmmaker living in Texas. His most notable contributions have been in machinima, although he has also worked with live-action. In April 2003, Burns, along with several of his friends, created the Internet machinima series Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles. Filmed using the video games Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Reach. Red vs. Blue was quickly acclaimed for its humor and originality, eventually elevating Burns to the status of an Internet celebrity. Such visibility allowed him to create one of the few successful machinima film-houses in the industry, Rooster Teeth Productions. Burns even attracted the attention of video game giant Electronic Arts, who asked him to create a promotional series using their new game, The Sims 2. The result, The Strangerhood, has received mixed reviews. Burns also premiered P.A.N.I.C.S., a mini-series that utilizes the F.E.A.R. game engine. He has appeared at several film festivals, including Sundance and The Sydney Film Festival. He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two sons.

Nadine Labaki (born February 18, 1974) is a Lebanese actress and director. She is one of the well known directors in the Arabic music video industry. Nadine is usually credited for bringing artists into the scene. In 2007, Labaki co-wrote, directed, and starred in her feature-film debut, Caramel, which became an international sensation at film festivals and went on to achieve box office success. It showcases a Beirut that most are not familiar with. Rather than tackle political and religious issues which have plagued Lebanon, she presents a romantic comedy that deals with five Beirut women who gather at a beauty salon and deal with love, sexuality, tradition, disappointment, and everyday ups and downs. Zineb Triki (born 1980) is a French actress of Moroccan descent, known for her role as Nadia El Mansour in the French television series The Bureau. Zineb Triki was born in 1980 in Morocco. She attended a French school, where she took up theatre and classical dance. She moved to Paris at the age of 15 to attend high school. She obtained a degree in political science from McGill University in Canada. She did an internship in UN headquarters in NY in 2003. She obtained a master's degree in political science from the Sorbonne University in Paris, then obtained another master's degree in audio-visual production in Paris. Triki began her acting career in earnest from 2009, with short roles in 14h05 and The Misadventures of Franck and Martha. Her first film roles were in Deux fenêtres in 2013 and La Marche verte (2016). It was the TV series The Bureau that brought her to prominence with her role of Nadia El Mansour. Nicolas Van Beveren (born August 31, 1982) is a French actor and film director best known for starring as Jon in the 2016 science fiction film Virtual Revolution. Van Beveren was born in Summer 1982 to a Seychellois mother and Belgian father in Machabée, a town in Mahé, Seychelles. At the age of 6, he moved to France where he developed interest in acting. He started his career in 2007 after he was called up for an audition in Paris to play a role in a television series on M6, a French TV channel. He has since gone on to feature in various television series and films and has directed four short films over the course of his career. He cites Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and Denzel Washington as his influences. Van Beveren appeared in Axe (marque) publicity in 2015. Nicolas Van Beveren went in Notre Dame private school in Poissy, a little city next to Paris between 1987 and 1991. As a teenager, he went in collège Saint-Stanislas in Osny from 1991 to 1996 then he changed for another collège, Léonard de Vinci, located in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes from 1996 to 1998 in Île-de-France region.
