Come Play is a horror-thriller written and directed by Jacob Chase. Starring Gillian Jacobs, John Gallagher Jr., Winslow Fegley, and Azhy Robertson, the story focuses on Oliver, a lonely and sad elementary school student with autism. The boy desperately wanted to find a friend since he doesn’t communicate with his peers too often. As a result, Oliver was always using his smartphone as a form of escapism. This is where “Larry,” a villainous nighttime monster that prays on the innocence of children, came from. He needed a friend, too, so Oliver’s parents are now trying to protect their young son. This movie belongs to the horror genre and is built in a rather original way, but it still lacks expression. Why are children with autism always chosen as the main characters of mystical films? Maybe all evil spirits are attracted to them, and they see everything differently and have specific visions to communicate with the otherworldly force. In a real explanation, it would be the purest psychiatry. But all these contacts are accompanied by real problems with real people, which corrects this logical defect of the movie. The mystical friend appeared throughout the film a couple of times for a few seconds, as a result of which, there was a feeling that the characters were fighting with a smartphone. Everything that happened in the picture does not greatly excite the imagination in terms of evoking emotions or a strong interest in the plot. Come Play will probably help you come to the conclusion that you need to make sure that your children don’t feel lonely and don’t spend too much time around smartphones and computers. You never know what might be hiding there. And maybe in the real world, it’s not about people but rather prohibited sites with certain inappropriate materials. The picture is frankly rather weak in terms of structure and originality, but some interesting moments can capture your attention.

Pygram has also played the drums in numerous bands over the past 20 years, the most recent being a band named Signal Room (formerly called Number 96)[2] along with his co-star in Farscape, Anthony Simcoe.
