Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Nageshwara Rao Akkineni

Biography

Akkineni Nageswara Rao (20 September 1923 – 22 January 2014), widely known as ANR, was an Indian film actor and producer, known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He was starred in a variety of roles in his seventy five year career, while becoming one of the most prominent figures in the history of Telugu cinema. He was one of the instrumental figures in moving the Telugu Cinema industry from Madras to Hyderabad in the early 60s alongside D. V. S. Raju. He founded Annapurna Studios in the year 1975 to provide infrastructural support to the new film industry in Hyderabad. He later started the Annapurna International School of Film and Media within Annapurna Studios in 2011.

Pouria Poursorkh is an Iranian actor who was born in 1977 in Tehran, Iran. He started his professional career with Mohammadhossein Latifi's "Vafa" series. He was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor for the movie "The Third Day" by Mohammadhossein Latifi. Among the series that he is best known for, "Recovery" by Bahadur Asadi, "Az Yadha Rafte" by Bahram Bahramian and "Rastegaran" by Sirous Moghaddam can be named. Nach dem Abitur leistete Gerhardt seinen Grundwehrdienst als Panzerjäger in der 5./PzJgBtl 123. Daraufhin studierte er Germanistik und Philosophie und schrieb eine Examensarbeit über Die Sprachphilosophie des Nikolaus Cusanus. Als freier Mitarbeiter bei der Kölner Boulevardzeitung Express schrieb er auch Berichte über die Kölner Kulturszene. Nach dem Einstieg als Entertainer beendete er in den 1990er Jahren seine Tätigkeit für den Express. 1988 wurde er mit seinem Programm Dackel mit Sekt bekannt, entdeckt hatte ihn Jürgen von der Lippe. Großen Erfolg feierte er mit den Filmen Voll normaaal und Ballermann 6. Die vorerst letzte Fortsetzung folgte 2011 mit Die Superbullen. Ein weiteres erfolgreiches Projekt war die Comedy-SerieHausmeister Krause – Ordnung muss sein. Am 5. Januar 2011 wurde er Ehrenbürger von Köln-Kalk. Gerhardt spricht spanisch und lebte ein Jahr in Sevilla.

Angela Evelyn Bassett (born August 16, 1958) is an American actress. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s, she has received various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett had her breakthrough portraying singer Tina Turner in the biopic What's Love Got to Do with It (1993), which won her a Golden Globe Award and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Eddie Applegate

Biography

Eddie Applegate (October 4, 1935 – October 17, 2016, Height 5 feet 9 inches [1.75 m]) was an American television actor, best known for his work in the 1960s, most notably in the role of Richard Harrison, the boyfriend of Patty Lane on The Patty Duke Show. He was born in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. Applegate began his acting career in the early 1960s, appearing in guest roles on such television series as The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. In 1963, he was cast as Richard Harrison on The Patty Duke Show, a popular sitcom about a teenage girl with a split personality. Applegate remained with the show for its entire run, from 1963 to 1966. After The Patty Duke Show, Applegate continued to work in television, appearing in such series as The Wild Wild West, The Monkees, and Happy Days. He also appeared in a few films, including Easy A (2010) and Rain from Stars (2013). In his later years, Applegate retired from acting and moved to Chatsworth, California, where he lived with his common-law wife Betty. He died in 2016 at the age of 81. In addition to his acting career, Applegate was also an active member of the San Fernando Valley Art Club, serving as vice president. He was a talented artist and painter, and his work has been exhibited in several galleries in the Los Angeles area.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Essex as Charlotte Emma Aitchison, Charli XCX is a singer, songwriter, model and actress. Daughter of a Scottish father and Indian mother, she studied at UCL's Slade School of Fine Art in London. Charlotte kept her MSN Messenger alias for her stage name and started writing songs at 14 years old. In 2012, Charli XCX rose to prominence with the Icona Pop collaboration "I Love It", which became an international success, reaching top 10 in North America and Europe. Her debut studio album, True Romance (2013), was released that year to critical acclaim but failed to meet commercial expectations. In 2014, she contributed the hook and bridge to "Fancy" by rapper Iggy Azalea, which finished the year as one of the best-selling singles worldwide and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. The same year, Charli XCX released "Boom Clap", which became her first solo top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100.
