Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Éric Zemmour

Biography

Éric Justin Léon Zemmour (born 31 August 1958) is a French essayist, political journalist and writer. His flamboyant conservative positions, as well as the numerous controversies he has been involved in, are notorious in his homeland. With the publication of The French Suicide (French: Le Suicide français), a book for which he was awarded the 2015 Prix Combourg-Chateaubriand, he gained international recognition. He also received the 2011 Prix Richelieu for the whole of his career as a journalist. Born in Montreuil, Zemmour studied at Sciences Po. He was hired by Le Quotidien de Paris in 1986 before becoming a reporter for Le Figaro in 1996. Since 2009, he has had a column in Le Figaro Magazine. Zemmour has appeared as a television personality on shows such as On n'est pas couché on France 2 (2006–2011), Ça se dispute on I-Télé (2003–2014) and Face à l'Info on CNews (since 2019). He has also appeared on Zemmour et Naulleau since 2011, a weekly evening talk show hosted by Anaïs Bouton on Paris Première, together with literary critic Éric Naulleau. Zemmour worked in parallel for RTL from 2010 until 2019, first hosting the radio show Z comme Zemmour, prior to joining Yves Calvi's morning news show as an analyst. Zemmour has been extensively discussed in news media as a possible anti-establishment candidate in the 2022 presidential election. He remains publicly undecided about a run for office.

Deborah Offner

Biography

Offner was born in New York City in 1959. Her father was Mortimer Offner, a photographer, screenwriter, and TV and theatre director. He wrote many of Katharine Hepburn's early films, but he was blacklisted. Her mother, Pauline, was a photography editor and worked for the first medical photography journal Scope. She went to Sarah Lawrence College and NYU School of the Arts, and after graduating she continued to work in theatre on and off Broadway. She has since appeared in Act One at the Lincoln Center, and in film and television on Orange Is the New Black and in the comedy Top Five. She also appeared in several Jonathan Kaplan films and TV series, including Project X, Immediate Family, Unlawful Entry, Love Field, ER and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Ken Webster (born July 29, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas) is the artistic director of Hyde Park Theatre in Austin, Texas. He has been nominated for 47 B. Iden Payne Awards and 20 Critics' Table Awards for acting, directing, and producing. He has received fourteen B. Iden Payne Awards, including a 2008 award for directing "Dog Sees God" and a 2007 award for directing "The Pillowman", a 2004 award for directing The Drawer Boy and a 2003 award for directing Quake at HPT. He also won the 2007 Critics Table Award for Outstanding Lead Acting for "St. Nicholas" and "Thom Pain (based on nothing)", and a 2003 Austin Critics’ Table award for directing Something Someone Someplace Else and Marion Bridge for HPT, and was awarded the 1999 Critics’ Table John Bustin Award for "conspicuous achievement." His directing credits for HPT include "The Pillowman", "Thom Pain (based on nothing)", "My Child, My Child, My Alien Child", You're No One's Nothing Special, Lonely, The Evidence of Silence Broken, Chopper, The Glory of Living, Radio :30, Ham, Blue Surge, Perdita, Blur, and the world premiere of Art Stripped Naked. Ornella Muti

Ornella Muti (born March 9, 1955) is an Italian actress. She was born in Rome as Francesca Romana Rivelli, to a Neapolitan father and Estonian mother. She has an older sister, Claudia (1951). Muti modeled as a teenager and made her film debut in 1970 in La moglie più bella (aka The Most Beautiful Wife). She has primarily worked in Italian films but she made her British film debut as Princess Aura in Flash Gordon in 1980. American movies she appeared in include Oscar (1991) and Once Upon a Crime (1992). She is mostly known to the French for appearing in a TV commercial of Giovanni Panzani pasta. Muti has been married twice, to Alessio Orano (her fellow actor in the film "The Most Beautiful Wife", 1975–1981), and Federico Facchinetti (1988–1996). Muti has three children: Naike Rivelli (b. 1974), who is also a model and actress having a close resemblance to her mother, and whose father is Spanish film producer José Luis Bermúdez de Castro Acaso; a son, Andrea, and a second daughter, Carolina, both from her marriage to Facchinetti. Since 1998, Muti has been living with Stefano Piccolo, a plastic surgeon. Muti was voted "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" in 1994 by a worldwide poll of readers of the magazine Class. In 2008, Ornella Muti introduced her own line of jewellery. She opened new shops in Paris, Milan, Rome, Riga, Moscow and Almaty. She insured her breasts for $350,000. Anna Sten (Ukrainian: А́нна Стен; born Anna Petrivna Fesak) was a Ukrainian-born American actress. She began her career in stage plays and films in the Soviet Union before traveling to Germany, where she starred in several films. Her performances were noticed by film producer Samuel Goldwyn, who brought her to the United States with the aim of creating a new screen personality to rival Greta Garbo. After a few unsuccessful films, Goldwyn released her from her contract. She continued to act occasionally until her final film appearance in 1962.

Amita Marie Young (born December 14, 1980), better known under her stage name Tata Young, is a Thai singer, model actress and dancer. She gained prominence when she placed first in a national singing contest at age 11, subsequently signing a record deal and releasing her first album Amita Tata Young in 1996. Within five months, the album had sold over one million copies. Since then, Young has released eight studio albums, three in English and five in Thai. Her most recent album is Ready for Love, released on August 25, 2009. She has acted in three films, The Red Bike Story (Jakkayan See Daeng), O-Negative and Plai Tien as well as the TV drama The Candle (Plai Tiean). She sang "Reach For The Stars" at the Bangkok opening ceremony for the 13th Asian Games in 1998 and also sang the English part of the title song for the Bollywood movie, Dhoom.

Sofie Gråbøl

Sofie Gråbøl (Danish pronunciation: [sofiːˀə ˈɡ̊ʁɔb̥øl]; born 30 July 1968) is a Danish actress. She has starred in a series of films, starting with the lead role in the 1986 film version of Tove Ditlevsen's novel Barndommens gade and at 17 playing alongside Max von Sydow in Pelle the Conqueror. On television she has starred in Taxa and Nikolaj og Julie. Gråbøl had become known in Denmark for playing emotional roles, but she achieved international fame as the cool and distant lead character Detective Inspector Sarah Lund in three series of Forbrydelsen (The Killing). Forbrydelsen played on BBC4 with great success, winning a BAFTA award, and bringing Gråbøl celebrity status in the UK. Todd Solondz (born October 15, 1959) is an American filmmaker and playwright known for his style of dark, socially conscious satire. Solondz's work has received critical acclaim for its commentary on the "dark underbelly of middle class American suburbia," a reflection of his own background in New Jersey. His work includes Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995), Happiness (1998), Storytelling (2001), Palindromes (2004), Life During Wartime (2009), Dark Horse (2011), and Wiener-Dog (2016).
