Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Taro Iwashiro

Biography

Taro Iwashiro (岩代 太郎 Iwashiro Tarō) has composed the music for many Japanese television series and films. He has composed for both Red Cliff films, Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, Azumi, The Prince of Tennis, Rurouni Kenshin: The Motion Picture, and the Korean film Memories of Murder. He was also lead composer for the Capcom video game Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny. Iwashiro has often led the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra for his soundtracks, including the 2005 taiga drama Yoshitsune and 2008 film Red Cliff.

He has had a number of small television roles and leading roles in a handful of independent films. He currently appears as Eli Loker on Lie to Me. He previously played Andy Goode in the Terminator television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Tyler Ford in The Middleman. He starred in Deep in the Valley in 2009.He was an early member of Bakerloo Theatre Project, in upstate NY, playing Orsino in Twelfth Night in 2003. Hines writes and performs songs, solo and with a backing band, under the name The Brendan Hines. In early 2008, he released an album of 10 original songs, "Good For You Know Who".

Biography

Born Eleanor Elizabeth Bamber in the South of England, UK, Bamber has a younger brother, Lucas. She acted on stage from an early age - becoming the youngest ever member of The London Player's Theatre, before playing Young Jenny in Sir Trevor Nunn's "Aspects of Love" at The Menier Chocolate Factory, London. She then went into TV and film and in quick succession she was offered Lydia Bennett, in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) alongside Lily James and Matt Smith. Then Dinah Lord in High Society, directed by Maria Friedman which was the last production under Kevin Spacey's tenure as Artistic Director, at the Old Vic, London where she was nominated for an Evening Standard Best Newcomer Award. Then India Hastings in Tom Ford's long awaited second feature film, playing Jake Gyllenhaal's and Isla Fisher's daughter, in the dramatic thriller Nocturnal Animals (2016). In 2015 she was announced as one of BFI and Screen Daily's Screen Stars of Tomorrow. Following feature films include Extra Curricular Activities starring alongside Timothy Simons and Colin Ford, High Resolution (winning Best Actress at The Orlando Film Festival). Then going back to theatre playing Helena in Ibsen's, Lady from the Sea at the Donmar, London (winning 3rd prize at The Ian Charlson Awards for her performance). Further films include The Nutcracker and the Four Realms with Keira Knightly and Morgan Freeman and soon to be released The Seven Sorrows of Mary and The Show. She can be seen on BBC 1's television series of Les Miserable, as Cosette alongside Dominic West and Olivia Coleman and is filming The Trial of Christine Keeler for BBC 1 as Mandy Rice-Davies with Sophie Cookson and James Norton.

Sonnie Hale

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Sonnie Hale (1 May 1902 – 9 June 1959) was an English theatre and cinema actor and director. John Robert Hale-Monro, better known by his stage name, was born in Kensington, London, the son of Robert Hale and Belle Reynolds. His father, and his sister Binnie Hale, were actors. He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor. He worked chiefly in musical and revue theatre, but also acted in several films with occasional screenwriting or directing credits. He first performed on stage at the London Pavilion in 1921 in the chorus of the revue Fun of the Fayre. A major personal investment in a show to tour the country planned for late 1939 proved financially ruinous due to the outbreak of war and the subsequent closure of most theatres. His slight acquaintance Evelyn Waugh advised him against such an investment. His reply was reported to be the sardonic “War is good for business, don't you know!”

Jacques Bermon Webster II (born April 30, 1991), better known by his stage name Travis Scott (formerly stylized as Travi$ Scott), is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. His stage name is the name of a favorite uncle combined with the first name of one of his inspirations, Kid Cudi (whose real name is Scott Mescudi). In 2012, Scott signed his first major-label contract with Epic Records and a publishing deal with Kanye West's GOOD Music. In April 2013, he signed a joint-recording contract with Epic and T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. Scott's first full-length project, the mixtape Owl Pharaoh, was self-released in 2013. It was followed by a second mixtape, Days Before Rodeo, in 2014. His debut studio album, Rodeo (2015), was led by the hit single "Antidote". Carla Quevedo (born April 23, 1988) is an Argentine actress and designer. She is most known for her role on the film The Secret in Their Eyes, in which she played Liliana Coloto. Her acting debut was in the year 2009 in Argentina film directed by Juan José Campanella, The Secret in Their Eyes, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It also stars Ricardo Darín, Soledad Villamil, Pablo Rago, and Guillermo Francella. In the film, Quevedo plays Liliana Coloto a murdered girl around which the story centers. She currently is a designer for the La Belle Rebelle swimsuit line and lives in both New York City and Buenos Aires.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Alexander Scourby (November 13, 1913 – February 22, 1985) was an American film, television, and voice actor known for his deep and resonant voice. He is best known for his film role as the ruthless mob boss Mike Lagana in Fritz Lang's The Big Heat (1953), and is also particularly well-remembered in the English-speaking world for his landmark recordings of the entire King James Version audio Bible, which have been released in numerous editions. He later recorded the entire Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Scourby recorded 422 audiobooks for the blind which he considered his most important work. He has a reputation in the audiobook industry as being one of the greatest narrators: "He is heralded as having the greatest voice ever recorded."
