Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. George Tchortov was born June 27, 1980, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. At the age of 4 his mother Milica relocated the family to Toronto, the city George has proudly called home ever since. He attended Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate and was a regular fixture in school plays, talent shows, and the voice of morning announcements. After working as a stunt performer for several years, George decided to pursue his true passion for acting, leading him to New York City, where in 2007 he graduated from the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting. Once back in Toronto George made a hard shift into acting with swift and relative success landing a slew of principal roles which led to his first guest star on the hit series Covert Affairs, opposite Piper Perabo. Some other guest roles include HBO Canada's Living In Your Car, Warehouse 13, Heartland, Rookie Blue, The Listener, CTV's Motive, CW's hit series Arrow, and Syfy's new series Killjoys. Adam Brown (born May 29, 1980) is an English actor and comedian. He is best known for playing the dwarf Ori in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy and Cremble in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. He studied at the John O'Gaunt Community Technology College in his birthplace, Hungerford, Berkshire. Following his time at John O'Gaunt, he trained in Performing Arts at Middlesex University, London, where he met Clare Plested and helped co-found the British comedy theatre troupe Plested and Brown. He wrote and performed in all seven of their shows: Carol Smillie Trashed my Room, The Reconditioned Wife Show, Flamingo Flamingo Flamingo, Hot Pursuit, Minor Spectacular, Health & Stacey and The Perfect Wife Roadshow. A regular at the Edinburgh Festival he toured with his company across the UK as well as performances in Armenia, South Korea and New Zealand. Katherine Sian Moennig (born December 29, 1977) is an American actress best known for her role as Shane McCutcheon on The L Word, as well as Jake Pratt on Young Americans. In 2009, she starred as Dr. Miranda Foster on CBS Three Rivers. Moennig was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Broadway dancer Mary Zahn and violin maker William H. Moennig III. Moennig is of German, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. Moennig moved to New York City at the age of 18 to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Moennig has played multiple lesbian roles in The L Word, Everybody's Fine, Art School Confidential. She has also pursued transgender roles, auditioning for the part of Brandon Teena in Boys Don't Cry, and playing Cheryl Avery, a young transgender woman in Law and Order. Joan Bogle Hickson, OBE (5 August 1906 – 17 October 1998) was an English actress of theatre, film and television. She was known for her role as Agatha Christie's Miss Marple in the television series Miss Marple. As well as portraying Miss Marple on television, Hickson also narrated a number of Miss Marple stories on audio books. Born in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, Hickson was a daughter of Edith Mary (née Bogle) and Alfred Harold Hickson, a shoe manufacturer. Boarding at Oldfield School at Swanage in Dorset she went on to train at RADA in London. Making her stage debut in 1927, she worked for several years throughout the United Kingdom and achieved success playing comedic, often eccentric characters in London's West End, including the role of the cockney maid Ida in the original production of See How They Run, at the Q Theatre in 1944, and then at the Comedy Theatre in January 1945. Jeff McBride (born September 11, 1959), also known as "Magnus", is an American magician and magic instructor. He is known for his sleight of hand skills and specializes in the manipulation of playing cards, coins, and other small objects. His stage performances blend elements of kabuki, a Japanese theater form, with traditional conjuring. He has been recognized by the Academy of Magical Arts, the Society of American Magicians, and the International Federation of Magic Societies. He has also has set several Guinness World Records. In 1991, he established the McBride Magic & Mystery School to teach the art of stage magic. McBride is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. McBride's Magic & Mystery School is world-renowned and is recognized as the foremost magical teaching institution available today. Eugene Burger was the Dean of the School until his death in 2017. He attended Valley Stream Central High School (along with fellow future actors Patricia Charbonneau and Steve Buscemi) in Valley Stream, New York. Hytner appeared as a regular in The Jeff Foxworthy Show, The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage, and Working, in several episodes of Roswell, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Friends, King of Queens, Dharma and Greg, The X-Files, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Thats So Raven, George Lopez and The Bill Engvall Show. Eugenio Polgovsky (June 29, 1977 – August 11, 2017; Mexico City) was a Mexican filmmaker and visual artist. He worked as director, cinematographer, editor, sound designer and producer of his films. Polgovsky was known for the Mexican documentaries "Tropic of Cancer" ( Semaine de la Critique 2005) and Los Herederos "The Inheritors" (Mostra of Venice, Orrizontti 2008 & Berlinale Generation 2009). He was the first filmmaker invited in the history of Trinity College, Cambridge, as Fellow Communer in Arts in 2016. Polgovsky was the founder of Tecolote Films in Mexico City (2004). He has received 4 Ariel Awards, (Mexican Academy Awards) and more than 20 International awards for his films, including the Joris Ivens Award in Cinema Du Réel, París 2005. He became a visionary, innovative and independent documentarist, and he brought an experimental spirit and a poetic eye to the medium of cinematography and worked closely and in a prolonged way with the communities whose stories and conditions he has sought to explore. His personal cinematography enchained with a meticulous and original editing explored the backgrounds of the Mexican reality, from the rural ancient world to the present of the mega city of Mexico. The MoMa of NY presented his film "Tropic of Cancer" as part of a selection of the region’s most innovative contemporary films.
