Four convicts escape from a chain gang. Shortly thereafter, changes are made at the prison, because a blue ribbon commission will be investigating conditions there. The changes include steak every day for dinner and stage shows for entertainment. After reading about this, the four escapees plead with the warden to take them back in. Or was this all a dream?

They show him how easy it works by listening to the doings of the Rhythm Boys, Tito Guizar, the Picken Sisters and Ann Lee, and let him try to receive a Frank Hazard program.

Solly is in love with Jane but Jane's father can't afford a big wedding. So he schemes with Solly's father, his business partner, to stage a big quarrel that will prompt Jane and Solly to elope. Complications arise.
