Polish seaman returns home from Tahiti with a native lover and a fortune in sacred pearls, gets seduced by a married woman unaware she is part of a gang trying to get his riches.

A sculptor is desperately looking for a model for his latest work entitled New Venus. One day he meets girl who seems like perfect candidate. Soon, they both fall in love with each other.

Two apartment house dwellers, although unrelated, share the same name. One is an older man with an appreciation for and love of classical music, while the other is a younger man addicted to swing music. The niece of the older man arrives for a visit and gets into the wrong apartment. Complications arise.

After becoming a licensed engineer abroad, Lucyna comes back to Poland and looks for a job. Because her wealthy father thinks it's inappropriate for a girl to work, she decides to put on men's clothes and get a job as Julian Kwiatkowski.

Two neighbours with similar names, Paweł and Gaweł, meet a violinist girl Violetta who pretends to be a child. When Paweł learns she's not a child anymore, he falls in love with her. And vice versa.

Sound of the Desert

Staying at a fancy resort, Wladyslawa Majewska is mistaken as a male guest when she is dressed in a skiing outfit. The manager offers her, thinking she is a he, a job as a dancer to entertain the unescorted ladies who frequent the hotel. Wladyslawa goes along with the offer, and keeps the old ladies dancing but falls in love with the best-looking male guest in the process, who thinks she is a man.

Nameless Heroes

The story takes place in 1905 and shows us a glimpse of an earlier Russian occupied Poland. After the assignation of the Governor-General, the Russian authorities in Warsaw are bent on finding the conspirators. Ryszard (Adam Brodzisz) is a Polish patriot that is considered a terrorist to the Russians and a hero to the Poles. He manages to find time to fall in love with a woman named Rena before being caught. The Russians know he was part of the plot, but do not know exactly how much he was involved, so he is sentenced to exile in Siberia. But his sweetheart Rena doesn't stand still while he is sent away, so she follows him to Siberia.

Persuaded by Torense, his former accomplice, he steals pearls from Julia's apartment, Jan's friend, and gives them to his daughter. She ends up in jail when the diamonds on her neck are recognized as stolen. Holski and Torense are hiding from the police. The depressed Leszczyc does not want to marry the criminal's daughter, but the criminal past of Leszczyc's father soon comes to light.

A young radio announcer living in Warsaw, who also is a swing and jazz musician, continually feuds with his landlord, a classical musician. A mixup of names and apartments leads to amusing complications as the young tenant falls in love with a young woman who, unbeknown to him, is the landlord's niece.
