When Tarit Sengupta, the personal secretary of the Zamindar is killed in mysterious circumstances, Feluda finds out that Tarit had already solved the riddle, and was in the process of stealing the treasure when he was killed. Magno Mainak is a 2009 crime thriller based on the novel of same name by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. It was directed by Swapan Ghosal and produced by New Wave Communications. This is the third Byomkesh Bakshi film adaptation. Subhrajit Dutta played Byomkesh while Rajarshi Mukherjee played Ajit. The film is set in during the Emergency period in December 1975. After returning, Nilanjan changes all the malpractices that are prevalent in the hospital, casing a lot of added problems in his life. There, he meets another patient, Priya, who suffers from simple amnesia, whom he challenges to make better with fellow antagonist, Dr. Roy. He gradually falls in love with Priya, and fights against all odds to make all things right.
