Belgrade, 2074. Edit Stefanović, a psychology student, after failing the same university exam for the sixth time, decides to visit a dealer on the black market who installs a stolen military chip in her body that will record everything she sees to help her pass the exam. Edit also has a job at a scientific and social research company, in taking care of Abel Mustafov, an autistic math genius who discovered a formula that connects all forces in the world, but no computer was able to calculate it fully without becoming self-aware and shutting down immediately after that. After Edit sees the formula graph, the chip calculates the formula, and becomes able to "survive" thanks to its connection to Edit. It develops a parallel personality and affords her abilities greater than she ever imagined.

In a rented apartment in Belgrade lives Srećko, who always plays the same combination of lotteries in the hope to win a premium one day. Sonja, once a popular Serbian actress settled in Slovenia is on a short visit to Belgrade. She panics claiming that her daughter Sofia has been kidnapped, then disappears. Inspector Despotovic is assigned to the case and when he finds Sonja, she admits that she made everything up, that she never had a child, and therefore there was no kidnapping. But a Secret Service veteran approaches Despotovic and tells him that the story about kidnapping is true. It is highly classified information. The father of the child is Foreign Affairs Minister. On the other hand, Minister claims that the Secret Service has made everything up trying to compromise him. Despotovic is puzzled... Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? Who is insane? Who is about to die?

Ljiljan’s task is to write a song that will allow his Partisan band to infiltrate the inner sanctum of the SS – by entering an SS talent show. If they win the competition, they will be invited to perform before Hitler and the NDH’s high command. This is a satirical coming-of-age tale with a difference, capturing the craziness, comedy and horror of war in the Balkans.

After a horrible massacre in a village where twelve people lost their lives, the killer shoots himself in the head, but with a strange combination of circumstances, he still remains alive. Petar, a BIA operative, is trying to figure out what actually happened because the killer, before he shot himself, uttered the word "katabaza", the same one that his late son said before he committed suicide. The psychologist Natasha helps him in that, who, unlike Petra, rationalizes the whole case, and does not think that there is anything mysterious in it.

The plot of the series follows the harmonious history of Serbia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (from the accession to the throne of King Milan Obrenovic in 1882 to his abdication in 1889), from the point of view of Tanasije K. Abadzic, the king's aide, who found himself in that position through no fault of his own. Tanasije K. Abadzic is a junior military official at Obrenovic's court and the great-grandson of Crni Gruja.
