Sidney has a banana habit.

When news of a caravan coming to the jungle to find animals for a new circus act is brough to him, Sidney tries to prepare an act for the circus expedition. As usual, his attempts end opposite of his intentions: he scares off the leaders of the expedition, and they quickly sail back to the U.S. without an act at all.

Possible Possum and friends sit down to have hush puppies and have to save Macon Mouse from the Bobcat.

Possible Possum hears there's a new barrel of dill pickles down to the general store, so he and his good buddies mosey on down the holler to the store. They strike a deal with the shopkeeper to bring down a load of goods from the train station in exchange for some o' them thar pickles. Now, you know Possible Possum ain't about to do no work, so they talk the bear into helping with an old railroad handcart, and o' course, they get into a heap o' trouble.

Possible is practicing for a barn dance when he is told that Mr. General's barn is burning. They offer to rebuild it for free, but Hill the builder says that he's the only one who is allowed to build anything. They try to get by him, but he stops them at every turn.

Poss endures no end of frustration with the bumbling antics of an elderly beaver who needs dentures.

A geologist attempts to dig under Possum's house in search of a rare stone. The rock collector manages to wreck everything in sight.

The gang get hired to pick strawberries for the local grocer in exchange for anything they want in the store (pickles!), but a local blue jay has other plans.

A train comes through, and a hobo gets off... a mean hobo. He throws the boys out of their house, hangs up a welcome sign and takes over.

For seven years in a row, Possible Possum and his friends have missed the turkey at the turkey shoot. Possible's anxious for them to try it again.

The boys have gone for a lazy day of fishing. All is calm until they catch a bottle with what they think is a note. It turns out to be a pirate treasure map. In their excitement to find the treasure, they trespass on the old mill property and come up against an irate farmer...

The boys' credit has run out at the general store, and they are hungry. A tourist arrives asking for a guide to Mount Piney. He explains that there is a $100 prize for the first person to climb the mountain. The gang tries to beat the tourist to the top of Mount Piney by any means.

Tom Terrific was an early animated series on American television, presented as part of the Captain Kangaroo children's television show. Created by Gene Deitch under the Terrytoons studio, Tom Terrific ran in a series of five-minute cartoons created specifically for the Captain Kangaroo show from 1957-1959, and was rerun on Kangaroo for years thereafter. For several years after 1962, Tom Terrific would be broadcast every other week, alternating with Lariat Sam, another Terrytoons creation. Gene Deitch adapted the feature from his earlier newspaper comic strip, "Terr'ble Thompson!" distributed during the 1950s by United Features Syndicate. Terr'ble Thompson was a six year old boy who imagined himself to be the "Hero of Hist'ry" and freely travelled back in time to assist historical figures. An illustrated book reprinting the adventures of this precursor to Tom Terrific was published by Fantagraphics Books. All the voices were performed by Lionel Wilson Drawn in a simple style, it featured a gee-whiz boy hero, Tom Terrific, who lived in a treehouse and could transform himself into anything he wanted thanks to his magic, funnel-shaped "thinking cap," which also enhanced his intelligence. He had a comic lazybones of a sidekick, Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog, and an arch-foe named Crabby Appleton, whose motto was, "I'm rotten to the core!" Other foes included Mr. Instant, the Instant Thing King, Captain Kidney Bean, Sweet Tooth Sam, the Candy Bandit and Isotope Feaney, The Meany.
