Als Senior op een dag wat doelloos door de stad slentert, wordt zijn aandacht getrokken door slopers die een oud pand neerhalen. Tussen het puin ontdekt Senior een oud scheepsmodelletje. Kafka, an insurance worker gets embroiled in an underground group after a co-worker is murdered. The underground group is responsible for bombings all over town, attempting to thwart a secret organization that controls the major events in society. He eventually penetrates the secret organization and must confront them.

A rich Frisian farmer has been murdered in Amsterdam and police duo Grijpstra & De Gier are sent to investigate. Adjutant Grijpstra has problems at home again and is happy to leave for Friesland to investigate the murder. Sgt. De Gier finds the Frisian Hylke much more interesting than the murder case. In Leeuwarden there is a real Chinese war and a brutal robbery at the cattle market. Suddenly there is that friendly rattling, asthmatic rat who provides an unexpected solution.

Vagabond Bob finds a suitcase belonging to stockbroker Peter and returns it to his hotel. There he meets Marion, who happens to be Peter's mistress. Unfortunately in doing so he loses his only possession of value: a lottery ticket.

Dora Leenders is about to give birth. Since she was impregnated during a school reunion, she invites both men whom she had sex with that night to her flat to witness the birth.
