A group of people who happen to be on the same bus try to get home on the New Year's Eve, but their bus is delayed by numerous obstacles, and the tensions grow.
The year is 1907. The young composer Nikusha sets out on a journey over the villages of Central Georgia to record folk songs. For this he provides himself with a map of the places he would like to visit. His accidental co-traveler is Leko Tatasheli who is convinced that the composer is on a mission of the revolutionary committee and his map is the plan of a future uprising…
The friends decide to marry the young veterinarian, Bachuta, and make a list of possible brides, but Bachuta is already in love with Taliko, who works with him on the farm.
The film's protagonists are children. The film depicts the aspirations of adolescents to achieve their goals, the formation of character and personality, and the struggle for self-determination.
