Having first burst onto the music scene over 30 years ago, the New Romantics soon dominated the charts with anthems including, True, Gold and Through The Barricades selling over 25 million albums world wide. Tonight, we join this iconic band for an exciting TV exclusive as they perform some of their greatest hits live in the studio and take a trip down memory lane, charting their stratospheric rise to fame. From their humble beginning growing up in North London to becoming one of the biggest UK bands, topping the charts and performing sell out concerts around the world.

British pop band Spandau Ballet performs live at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre in this concert filmed in November 1990. One of the leading bands of the 1980s New Romantic genre, Spandau Ballet struck gold in the U.K. with a number of hits, and their dreamy tune "True" topped U.S. charts at No. 4. Songs include "Cross the Line," "Virgin," "Gold," "Chant No. 1," "True" and many more.

In 2009 Spandau Ballet's first tour together for almost 20 years saw the triumphant return of one of the UK's most successful and best loved bands. Filmed during their sell out concerts at London's O2 Arena, Tony, John, Gary, Martin and Steve return with a vengeance in THE REFORMATION TOUR that brought 100,000 fans to their feet.

Filmed in December 1986 the film captures Spandau Ballet in performance during their « Through The Barricades » tour, which at the height of their success saw them play over a million people.

Live Aid was held on 13 July 1985, simultaneously in Wembley Stadium in London, England, and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, United States. It was one of the largest scale satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time: watched live by an estimated global audience of 1.9 billion, across 150 nations. "It's twelve noon in London, seven AM in Philadelphia, and around the world it's time for Live Aid...!"

Gold: The Best of Spandau Ballet is a greatest hits album from Spandau Ballet, released on 4 September 2000 and contains 17 of their biggest hits. It was re-released on 17 August 2008 with a bonus live DVD.
