Summer at Cyprus seems at first like a gift for Alexandra (Maria Kitsou) and Orestes (Hristodoulos Martas), who travel from Athens to spend the season with Orestes' parents at their seaside residence. However, they soon become enveloped in the turbulence of local politics between Greeks and Turks after getting involved with a family production of a Euripides play.

Omeris, a Turkish Cypriot boy, grows up with Greek-Cypriots in the innocent years of his homeland. He has been taught that human beings have no differences between them, whether they call themselves Greek or Turk, Muslim or Christian. When he falls in love with a Greek-Cypriot girl, he realizes that the world is not as he imagined it to be.The game of love has many surprises in store for him. Destiny ordains that he fight so that he can stay with his beloved, at a moment when the people around him are moving in exactly the opposite direction, towards separation and partition. If he doesn't want to be defeated he must fight the absurdity of fanaticism that is invading his personal life and is trying to crush it.

Υorgos and Sophia are trying hard to cope with their financial problems and the needs of their two children. The grandfather helps them out with his pension since the family business, a small grocery store, does not provide them with enough income. When the grandfather suddenly dies in his sleep, they decide to keep it a secret for as long as they can, so as to continue collecting the money from his pension. But things become more complicated when officers from the social security department start looking for the grandfather.

Cyprus 1974. A Cypriot family flees advancing Turkish forces and takes refuge in an abandoned Ottoman-era palace. When a young Turkish Cypriot conscript comes face to face with the family in hiding, he is forced to confront the harsh reality of war and his role in it.

Dr Andrew Michael, the brother, is lost in the anonymity of London medical life. His desire to return to the parental home after 30 years is triggered by a letter lost in the post, sent by his father a few days before he died. When Andrew is back in Cyprus he takes lodge in the family home where he is joined by his three sisters. Old issues become revived as he slowly becomes aware that he is not very welcome and he embarks on a journey to discover how his father died, alienating his sisters in the process. The truth comes as suddenly as the rain that sweeps away all lies and sins, restoring the family to its former glory and allowing the siblings to move forward as one.

Coming out of prison Evagoras sets out to find his friend Milen in Bulgaria. In the search he finds love but loses a friend.
