Back in 1999 a group of comedians got together for a late night TV comedy show. Ten weeks later, the network came to their sense and booted them out. For those of you who missed it, and for those who forgot to tape it, here are the highlights of that exciting new program launched on an unsuspecting TV audience. Peter Helliar has cemented himself as one of Australia's favourite comedians. He's the creator and star of Network Ten's How To Stay Married and brings the laughs to The Project four days a week. Rove, formerly Rove Live, was an Australian television variety show which premiered on the Nine Network on 22 September 1999, before moving to Network Ten which aired the program from 2000 until November, 2009. The show was hosted by comedian Rove McManus, and featured an ensemble cast, who presented various segments throughout the course of the show. The show won the Logie Award for "Most Popular Light Entertainment Program" five times.

skitHOUSE was an Australian sketch comedy television series that ran on Network Ten from 9 February 2003 to 28 July 2004. The series was produced by Roving Enterprises. It featured many well-known Australian comedians, including comedy-band Tripod. Reruns can now be seen on The Comedy Channel on Foxtel. In the UK, it is shown on the channel Paramount Comedy 2 and Trouble. The title name itself is a pun on the colloquial word: "shithouse". The series only ran for two seasons, before being cancelled due to a combination of dwindling ratings and the withdrawal of the cable network Foxtel as co-financier of the program's production.
