Billy O'Connor, a multi-talented entertainer born in 1914, had a rich family legacy in entertainment. Taught piano by his father, he began his own career in Toronto's nightclubs in 1947. His CBC radio tenure started in 1948 and extended into the early 1960s. His television career commenced with shows like 'Four for the Show' and 'The Billy O'Connor Show' in the 1950s, notably showcasing emerging talents like Gordon Lightfoot, Peter Appleyard, and others. He passed away in Toronto in 2001, leaving behind a lasting mark on Canadian entertainment.
