Ronja and Maiken are two normal, Norwegian girls. Both are insecure, but expressing it in different ways. When partying one night, their friendship is tested when faced with the darker and more absurd aspects of modern Norway.
A young girl finds out that she has to move. In desperation she goes to her boyfriend and convinces him to flee up in the mountains with her. But there she discovers something that changes her perception on life completely.
