Kaveh and Raul are two b-movie co-writers who have suffered a bitter falling out. Kaveh's lost his girlfriend, and spends his days getting high in his apartment, while Raul is off studying at Columbia University. The plot focuses on Sally on the journey of how she met her daughter's father. She lives in New York with her friends, is getting divorced from her first husband, and has no idea what she is doing with her life.
