The chronology of Super Sentai may, at last, be at an end. A boy has arrived from the future to save the earth from catastrophe. Yamato and his team are not aware that they are part of the enemy's plans. The Ninningers, who once protected Earth, have returned! And this time, they believe the Zyuohger are Yokai monsters! This battle will be the end of both teams. Will the message of the future boy get to Yamato in time? An unbelievable roll call that brings together all the Rangers of the Super Sentai! Taking place after the end of the series, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger Returns will focus on Zyumans and humans peacefully co-exist on Earth. It is then decided that they'll have a battle to determine who will rule the Earth, but a real danger lurks in the shadows.

Kazuaki Sakurai is a 37-year-old man working at an advertising agency. For a CM shooting, he goes to a beautiful house. At the house, he meets Yoichi Mizukawa while he is painting a picture. Yoichi Mizukawa is a 19-year-old art student. He lives with his cousins in the big old house.

The Game World launches an attack on the real world. In front of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid and the Uchu Sentai Kyuranger appears the "Arena of Death" where the destruction of the Earth will be decided. Trapped in this inescapable dimension, generations of Super Sentai and Kamen Riders must engage in a battle royale, an unprecedented battlefield of many puzzles connecting the real and game worlds. And then, "Those Heroes" revive... Everything is scaled up, all rules are broken! And when it seems like the real world will fall into a disaster, imagination brings forth unimaginable new heroes!

The Ninningers come across a new enemy, Dark Doctor Mavro, a remnant of the Shadow Line, who created his own, evil version of Aka Ninger serving under him by stealing the real Aka Ninger's Nintality, and because of it, Takaharu's life is now in danger. All hope seems lost until the Ninningers meet the ToQgers, who fought and defeated the Shadow Line in the past, and it's up to them to join forces in order to overcome this new crisis.

The Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger Final Live Tour 2017 is a live show that was performed across Japan in March and April of 2017, acting as a final farewell for the cast. It comprises two parts: a scripted show part, and a talk show with the cast. The Kyurangers also appear.

A sequel to the Toei Hero Next stage adaptation "We're a Bounty Hunter Team!", later released to video.

Super Animal War, titled the Super Sentai 40th Anniversary Work Original Drama, is a special Blu-Ray miniseries of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. Featuring various characters from the previous Super Sentai Series in addition to the Zyuohgers, this miniseries commemorates the 40th anniversary of Super Sentai.

The human world is attacked by the space outlaw group the Dethgaliens who have chosen the Earth to be the site of their 100th Blood Game. One human and 4 anthropomorphic Zyumans awaken their instincts to become the Zyuohgers and fight to protect all living things.
