The film revolves around iconic musician Trịnh Công Sơn and the muses that have come and gone in his life, from his passionate youth in the 1960s to his later middle-aged 1990s.
The story tells of Đình Phong and his friends: Ngo Kien Ha, Pham Quynh Bang, Sky - a funny Korean girl, and manager Lam - a greedy guy. The screenplay is based on the book Bắt đầu từ một kết thúc, an autobiography about the life of the ill-fated singer Wanbi Tuấn Anh.
Tri, a romantic and idealistic music producer, finds himself in a talent raising competition against Minh, an aggressive and pragmatic producer. During this race, Tri falls in love with Linh, his singer and only ticket to dreamland.
The movie is about a psychologist, Tuong Minh who provides psychotherapy to An Nhien, a young female writer suffering from anxiety disorder. Nhien states that she’s obsessed by a certain girl. Strangely, the girl she mentioned is the main character in her first novel, The Whispering.
