The movie starts off with Ryotsu (with Honda as his patsy) hatching another crackpot scam with a fake UFO sighting (via fake crop circles and a wire-hanging UFO). But the plan fails per usual, with the Kameari Park Police Box which results in Ohara punishes Ryotsu by subtracting him from the station's group vacation to Hawaii the following day.

Following Studio Petit's popularity for Time Journey's, the crew is now faced with 3 anime at the same time. Rushing to fill the quotas, the owner of Studio Petit hires Takashimadaira, a veteran producer to help Kuromi. However, all Takashimadaira cares about is making deadlines, severely hurting the quality of the images. Shihonmatsu, who has been helping Kuromi, gets angry at the new producer and leaves, leaving Kuromi with a difficult choice: to choose between the quality or the deadline.

Ever wonder what it would be like to work for an animation studio? Kuromi just landed her dream job at the famous Studio Petit, and boy is she in for a rude awakening! The new head of the ultimate team of slackers, it’s up to her to finish "Time Journeys Episode 2," or fans everywhere will be let down. Will Kuromi's love of cartoons clean up this horrible mess... or make an even bigger one?

B-Fighter Kabuto is a Japanese television series in the Metal Hero Series. It is the sequel to Juukou B-Fighter, taking place five years after the preceding B-Fighter series. Kabuto aired from 1996 to 1997. The action footage and props were used for the Beetleborgs Metallix series.
