A robber escapes from prison with a single objective in mind: to track down his former cellmate, a serial killer who intends to pin his crimes on him. A second-class horror movie has to be shown at Cannes Film Festival, but, before each screening, the projectionist is killed by a mysterious fellow, with hammer and sickle, just as it happens in the film to be shown.

While those are sent for Auguste is placed under the supervision of an army Captain.

Exile and possibly death are in the cards for the Queen of France in this edgy cloak-and-dagger adventure.
