Sri Latha

Dheekshitulu is a 65-70 year old brahmin widower with no children. He sees the beautiful 16 year old Susheela & goes to her parents to ask her hand by offering kanyasulkam (brideprice which was prevalent in some areas of South India prior to the 1940s and is now banned all over) So our 70 year old grandpa marries 16 year old young girl. On the very first night she comes to know that her old husband is neither interested nor capable of making love. Also in the village is the hot headed intelligent Suri who belongs to a lower caste. Our young couple have an extramarital affair due to which Susheela becomes pregnant, Dheekshitulu sends her out of the house, village council shaves the heads of Suri & Susheela as a punishment, Dheekshitulu has a change of heart & conducts the marriage of the young couple, finally the village elders have a change of heart themselves when all the lower caste people refuse to do any work for them.

The bags belonging to a young man about to break up with his lover, two bumbling criminals planning a bomb blast, a man circulating counterfeit currency, and a couple paying ransom to save their daughter get mixed up leading to so much confusion.

This is another film that centers around the pranks of teenagers. This film is rated 18 in Singapore. Jai Akash comes to Nagerkoil as the Collector. His reminiscences of his school days in Nagerkoil, forms the main theme of the film. Manikantan who comes in the role of the 16 year old Kicha is like our typical naughty neighborhood boy. The boy Kicha used to eye becomes the headmistress of his school and this delights Kicha. Kicha who always teases everybody else, is however very well behaved towards headmistress Nirmala (Simran). So he always gets her support. But he leads a group of errant boys and together they steal the school vessels and sell them and also eat in hotels and give the slip without paying the bill. He is only a good friend to this one girl, but she falls in love with him.

Dhanalakshmi, who is in love with Balaji, runs away when her family tries to get her married to another man. However, her life takes a turn when she meets Arvind, who falls in love with her.

Dr Anand marries Sandhya, who is in love with an aspiring music director, Manjunath. Anand promises to unite the lovers but asks Sandhya to stay with him for a week.
