On the eve of the Grito de Dolores and faced with the threat of being arrested by the viceregal government, Miguel Hidalgo suggested to Captain Allende that the flag of the insurgent movement be the banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

A 17th century woman, imprisoned for fighting in a bar, recounts her past to a priest. She tells of her father teaching her how to fence, of being sent to a convent by her aunt when her father died, of escaping by dressing as a man, and of her life as a man following the escape.

One night, he attends a party disguised as a newspaper writer who also mocks Ganimard; the next morning, the host's wife and a male guest are found murdered, and Ganimard arrives to solve the crime. A Mexican version of the Arsene Lupin character, with Sherlock Holmes tossed in as a cameo at the end.
