The two were in the process of exposing the inhumane working conditions in uranium mining by France's nuclear power company. A disaster for Paris: politicians and the board of directors are arguing with the Nigerien state over uranium prices - and don't need a scandal. Diplomat Hugo is sent to negotiate with the kidnappers on site. Hélène, the head of the environmental organization, also flies in.
