Mr. Armstrong’s racing stable is preparing to send one of its top horses to run in Paris's Maisons Lafitte, when the thoroughbred is unexpectedly injured. Its replacement is Dunderhead, lesser fancied, but favourite of jockey and stable lad, Albert. Meanwhile, two crooked stable hands plan to use the cross channel trip to smuggle forged banknotes.

A young priest works as a barman in a Pigalle cafe in Paris. He tries to prevent the women there to prostitute themselves....

He travels to Aladdin's village, identified as being near the border with China, where he enlists Aladdin's help by pretending to be his long-lost uncle and offering to leave his wealth to Aladdin. At one point, the Magician character tells the story of his travels to China, India and Persia and we see a montage of these adventures and it's kind of interesting because of the way it invokes other cultures of the era. There is some unnecessary padding throughout as characters break into songs that do nothing but tell parts of Once upon a time, somewhere in Africa, a local magician dreamed of owning the Magic Lamp. Thanks to a Magic Ball he learned that the Lamp could be found in an Asian village and that only the innocent hand of a young person could snatch it. He traveled to the place, a village called Three Hill City, close to the Chinese border. There lived Aladdin

The adventures of the famous Joseph Rouletabille, an adventurous young journalist, gone to solve a murder in the south of France. He puts an end to the conflict between two rival bands for the possession of a revolutionary metal, belenium.

Jojo is a seventeen-year-old factory worker living poorly in Aubervilliers with his grandmother. Dissatisfied with his lackluster everyday life, Jojo dreams of the high life. He starts mixing with shady individuals such as thieves and traffickers. At a time, he even contemplates murdering a rich butcher. Fortunately, his protector Monsieur Charles, a warm-hearted gangster, will stop him from carrying out this crazy plan, thus wasting his young life.

Plotters decide to scuttle a ship for the insurance money, but things go wrong.
