Highly theatrical version of Tolstoy's play.
Former student Raskolnikov is pushed to murder when struggling to pay the rent on his apartment. When the murder is being investigated by the police, Raskolnikov struggles between trying to hide his guilt and the pressure to confess.
Based on the materials of the Rumyantsev Museum. Drama from the exposé series "Seeking God", dedicated to the sect of "runners". Continuation of the films "Whips" and "White Doves". The movie is preserved without credits.
