With excited fans calling their friends, it doesn't take long before the parks are overflowing with hundreds of skaters, fans, TV news crews and even police. Once enough tricks get thrown down, it's time to move on to the next park. On their way, the guys stop off to surprise fans at their homes and even drop by an unsuspecting middle school. The film portrays a generation that revolutionized street culture in Brazil through Skate. In the early 1990s the skate scene was bankrupt after a government economic plan that broke the industry. Motivated by the love of skateboarding and a "do it yourself" attitude, some friends, teenagers at the time, got together and released a home video that would change their lives forever. The movie shows the life of Roger Mancha, the coach of the Brazilian Skate Olympic Team. Mancha is one of the most important brazilian skaters of all time, responsible for elevating the level of the tricks in the country from the 80s and 90s. Mancha was part of legendary teams, like City Stars.

MVP 2 opens with the lovable Jack being ousted from his hockey team, the Seattle Simians, and having to hit the road after being falsely accused of league misconduct. Jack ends up in the city, where he's befriended by Ben, a homeless skateboarder, and Ollie, a skate shop owner. Jack proves to be as adept at mastering the half-pipe as he does at delivering a slap shot, and before long, he and Ben are crashing amateur skateboarder competitions all over the country.

Samuca is only 17 years old and discovers that his girlfriend Alicia is pregnant. The news comes to light at a not very favorable moment in Samuca's life, just when he thought everything was going very well. For having committed the same "slam" as his mother Melina, having a son at the same age as she had him, Samuca feels pressured. Themes such as teenage pregnancy and questions about life gain visibility and are unfolded throughout the plot.
