In the middle of La Habana, three friends meet on the rooftop day after day to discuss their dreams and aspirations. Though they lack the proper resources, they decide to start their own business, a decision that pushes them towards maturity, although at an unforeseen cost.
Havana, Cuba, 1990. René González, an airplane pilot, unexpectedly flees the country, leaving behind his wife Olga and his daughter Irma, and begins a new life in Miami, where he becomes a member of an anti-Castro organization.
Cherri is gay, and he is obese. In the clinic where he is being treated, Cherri has started a new therapy for weight reduction. At his 55 years age of, his will to live gets bigger when he meets Tim, a security guard of the soon-to-be first McDonald’s in Cuba. But Cherri will discover along this journey that desire and friendship, hamburgers and punk and psychology and healing are divergent paths in his life.
