Paul Weller

A talented musician fraught with a troubled career, Steve Marriott is best remembered as the frontman for the mod band the Small Faces, which also included Ronnie Lane, and future Who drummer Kenny Jones. At odds with his fame and dogged by the constant near-miss of success, Marriott nonetheless played with a passion and innovation that has inspired generations. His early demise when his house caught fire was a tragedy to the music world, and his popularity has, ironically, only grown since his death. This footage documents the concert held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Marriott's death.

"Paul Weller: Into Tomorrow" is a unique insight into the life of a music and style icon. Inspired in part by the Robert Evans film "The Kid Stays In The Picture" this 90-minute film features Paul Weller recounting his life story and contains wonderful archive footage and candid interviews with friends, family and musical associates including his parents John and Anne, Steve Brookes and Bruce Foxton of The Jam, former wife and Style Council member Dee C Lee, Steve White and Mick Talbot of The Style Council, Boy George and Noel Gallagher. Weller tracks his journey from his childhood in Woking through the purchase of his first guitar to the formation of The Jam, the Style Council and his solo years.

Recorded on October 16th 2002 at one of two huge arena shows in Scotland, this unique concert recording sees the modfather revisiting some Style Council and Jam material for the first time since going solo. Although he has attempted acoustic renditions of his past glories, never before has he performed full-band version of his classic early material, but he more than makes up for that with this special show. "Town Called Malice," "Man In The Cornershop," and "Pretty Green" from the Jam's collective ouvre are all given an airing, as well as a smattering of Style Council material, and highlight's from Weller's solo career.

Filmed in front of an intimate audience at the Riverside Studios, in London, this is a mesmerising live proformance of those tunes that have inspired and shaped his extraordinary career. Just A Dream is very much a bookend of an incredible year for Paul Weller. Comprising the full 90-minute live session recorded by Paul for the BBC with six previously unseen performances; alongside a five song session recorded for Channel 4,and an exclusive and candid interview with Paul and his band.

Named after a street in Weller's home-town of Woking in Surrey, this album was greeted with universal approval by critics and fans. The brilliant Peter Blake collage throughout the package portrays much greater nostalgia than is contained in the lyrics. The DVD features unreleased tracks as well as special collaborations with disciple Noel Gallagher along to jam as well as Broke 'n' Stoned, a short film directed by Simon Halfon, plus promo clips.

The Who & Special Guests: Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a concert film of The Who's concert on November 27, 2000 at the Royal Albert Hall in London to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust. At The Royal Albert Hall, London on 8th April 2004 after some 15 months of planning with Paul Weller, Ronnie Wood, Pete Townshend, Steve Ellis, Midge Ure, Ocean Colour Scene amongst them artists assembled to perform to a sell-out venue and to pay tribute to a man who co-wrote many Mod anthems such as ""Itchycoo Park, All Or Nothing, Here Comes The Nice, My Mind's Eye"" to name just a few. Ronnie Lane was the creative heart of two of Rock n Rolls quintessentially English groups, firstly during the 60's with The Small Faces then during the 70;s with The Faces. After the split of the Faces he then formed Slim Chance and toured the UK in a giant circus tent as well as working in the studio with Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend and Ronnie Wood. 5,500 fans looked on in awe at The R.A.H as the superb evening's entertainment ended with ""All Or Nothing"" featuring a surprise appearance by Chris Farlowe on lead vocals.

The concert gave fans a chance to relive Jon Lord's remarkable and extensive musical career, remembering music from Paice, Ashton Lord, Deep Purple, his later classical compositions and everything in between – all in aid for the charity organization The Sunflower Jam. The 83-piece Orion Orchestra performed, conducted by Paul Mann and accompanied by bands and artists such as Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman, Joe Brown, Miller Anderson, Steve Balsamo and many, many more.

In the 80s Paul Weller belonged to the group of major whizz-kids in the European music scene - first with "The Jam" and then with the British group "The Style Council". Lyricist, singer and musician Paul Weller, together with keyboardist Mick Talbot, released their first and successful album "Introducing the Style Council". Their music style increasingly took on the typical elements of black funk and white soul, but the lyrics became more and more socialcritical, in contrast to their playful music. Some of their greatest chart hits in Great Britain were "Money Go Round" - Number 11 in 1983 - and "Shout to the Top" - Number 7 in 1984, both of which can be heard in this concert recording. In connection with the concert, Full House moderator Alan Bangs interviews Paul Weller on the originality of pop music.

Three of a Kind was a British comedy sketch show starring comedians Tracey Ullman, Lenny Henry and David Copperfield. Three series were made by the BBC between 1981 and 1983. The show bolstered the careers of Ullman and Henry, as well as being an outlet for young writers including Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, Ian Hislop and Nick Revell. Ullman and Henry went on to greater success after the show, with Ullman initially launching a brief but successful pop career in 1983 before starring in the ITV sitcom Girls On Top in 1985 and then going on to a high profile career on American television. Henry was given his own BBC series The Lenny Henry Show in 1984 and he remains a semi-regular fixture on British television to this day. Copperfield, however, garnered less success and has been seen relatively little since the series ended.
