Manuel is a young man who only cares about money and the good life. He has a bad relationship with his father, who is an old retired colonel who lives remembering his past military glory and has a permanent conflict with Manuel.
A drunkard carrying a mysterious suitcase ends up on an abandoned boat. There he encounters a strange character with a scar on his face who submits him to a terrible moral interrogation and discovers his true identity and the sin he kept so carefully.
