DI Walter Gambon is a self-styled “Yoda of the force”, whose workload suddenly increases when he’s handed the cases of an officer who committed suicide by throwing himself under a Tube train. Or was he pushed? Gambon must work out whether his former colleague was murdered, while tracking down another officer who has gone so far undercover that nobody knows where he (or she) is.

A character-driven comedy drama about neighbourliness and class divisions (or lack thereof); Invincible follows Emily and Oliver – a liberal, middle-class couple from the South of England – who move up North to live a cheaper life as the 2012 recession hits, and raise their children among what they term as “real people”. There, they invite their neighbours round for drinks where the evening turns to debates about war, art and football. A microcosm for the wider discussion on class politics and world views.

Ed's a fun guy. I mean what could be more fun than canceling Jim's birthday party, only to invite their friends round to surprise him? Imagine the look on his face! Priceless. Now he just has to divert Jim home. He hushes the party, puts the phone on loudspeaker and starts to lie through his teeth. The guests are loving it, squirming with stifled giggles and anticipation.
