Anna arrives in Paris to visit her pregnant friend Caroline, who is having a birthday. Over the past five years, Anna has struggled to conceive, but has recently been told that it is pointless to continue fertility treatments due to her disease endometriosis. She's having a hard time hiding her jealousy over Caroline's pregnancy, and the gap between the girlfriends is growing.

Everything seems to be fine when Michael returns from psychiatric hospital, and his girlfriend Cecilie is also confident that things will go in the right direction. But things gradually shows different. Cecilie however is fighting to keep Michael from insanity, and not disappear into his own world.
