Mosaic, an urban sketch artist suffering from motor neurone disease, meets an old school friend, Angelfish, at a class reunion. As his illness takes a tragic hold, he asks her to fulfil one wish - to be his girlfriend for just a day.

Roger Li, the son of the richest man in town, is involved in a car accident which has soon become the talk of the town. After ten years behind the bars in Taiwan, Kong Sai-Hao finally returns to Hong Kong. Besides hoping to find his daughter Yau-Yau to mend their relationship, he also plans for revenge. On one hand, he pretends to surrender to triad boss To Yik-Tin, the man who caused him to be jailed. On the other hand, he tries to gain trust from police officers Chung Lap-Man and Lee Pak-Kiu. Pak-Kiu refuses to have a criminal as his friend, but Lap-Man becomes a undercover cop in Sai-Hao's gang. Along with Sai-Hao, they overrule Yik-Tin and take over the mafia, and the two develop a misconceived mentor-student relationship. Unfortunately, Lap-Man gets fired from the police force before he can finish his mission in the mafia. He becomes Sai-Hao's people and turns his back against the police force.

The TV station's senior director Xia Chang (Chen Zhanpeng) is preparing to shoot a new live show, recording the Hong Kong youth Zhang Junjie (Ruan Zhengfeng) from the city back to the mainland to experience the real life of rural life. Relic of an Emissary is a 2011 Hong Kong historical fiction television drama serial produced by TVB. The 30-episode drama premiered 4 April 2011 on Hong Kong's TVB Jade and TVB HD Jade channels, airing five days a week.
