François Chaignaud

Fran is in his hometown to rest and visit his mother. Following the jerky rhythm of Bolero, this journey along the paths of memory and desire will lead him and the whole village to a joyfully chaotic climax.

A few days before the museum reopens, director Marie Losier is invited to be the first to re-enter and film her discovery of the place. During this night at the museum, she wanders from room to room and films the enigmatic creatures she encounters - animals, works, but also the artists and accomplices she has invited. These successive apparitions compose the scenes of a surrealist film that spectators can discover in a giant projection on the façade of the museum during an exceptional evening.

For Body Double 35, Dellsperger takes the second scene from Xanadu. Played by choreographer/dancer François Chaignaud, a sprightly group of Muses emerges dancing from a painting on the wall. At an exhibition at the Swiss Institute in 2016 Dellsperger reproduced the wall painting and in a strange switch the creation of the set precedes the idea of the film, even becoming its trigger. The entire equilibrium of things seems to be affected : the shots are reversed and Kira dances backwards until she becomes one with the wall. The loop is closed.

Oedipus arrives in Thebes and finds a devastated city, where the young men are devoured by a monstrous beast, the Sphinx. He decides to deliver the inhabitants of this plague installed on the roof of a building.
