A feel-good comedy about aging, friendship and new directions, On Borrowed Time is director Yasir Al Yasir’s follow-up to his 2012 film Murk Light, which earned him the Best Short Narrative Award at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. Taking place in and around a Dubai retirement home, the film follows four elderly men who appear to be settling in for the long haul—that is, until one of them receives an unexpected and mammoth inheritance.

The events are derived from tales from the reality of daily life, as they remain locked in the house and cannot go out, while Maryam suffers from her husband's distance from her after retiring in a wheelchair and her anxiety from the outside after her marriage.

The series deals with the story of three girls in their first year at university, and the problems they face in that new life with its variables, in addition to family life.

Karim and Salem return to Dubai after graduation to establish a celebrity psychotherapy clinic. Karim is busy at work while Salem spends his time on his father's yacht. Then Karim's personal life gets more complicated.
