Assia lives in a small Russian village, populated by useless alcoholics. She sells eggs and alcohol to her neighbours, and everybody is happy. However, one day, her hen lays a golden egg, and Assia may have a golden opportunity.

His friend Sima sends the wayward driver Volodya Telescopov to take the barrels accumulated at the village buffet to the Koryazhsk regional center. By chance, a variety of fellow travelers gather in Volodya's truck. The story of the journey is interspersed with their dreams. In them, the bizarrely reflected reality converges among the heroes of the story in one thing — the desire to finally meet a Good Person.
