Central Asia. A sanatorium called Aurora, is located at the shores of the high mountainous lake Issyk-Kul and the action of the film is taking place in this sanatorium. All happens in one day. The sanatorium serves as a mirror of the whole country, which is a kind of health resort for its population, with its beautiful nature. Sudden break of the balance between time and space leads to the start of the mechanism of fatal processes.

One day, Nazar walks into the studio of his partner’s ex-husband, Arsen. He looks around his computer and finds something that changes his life. Arsen is an artist who creates fictional worlds into which he loses himself. The romance between reality and the imaginary begins. Dreams and fantasies are forever intertwined with life here and now.

The unsuccessful screenwriter and director Kanat Kozhanov, who is just starting to build his career, encounters a gang. The criminals are hiding from a lieutenant colonel from the department that fights against organized crime, so they have to make a movie of the main character and play the leading roles in it. The main goal of the bandits is to escape from prosecution, find the diamond and remove witnesses.

Baglan, a member of the popular vocal group "Gigitter", lives a normal life, performs a lot, communicates with friends, takes care of his family.

Shalkar, a former Major Crimes investigator, has long been retired and is trying to forget himself with alcohol. Shalkar's routine is disrupted by a police officer who asks for help with the investigation. A maniac has appeared in the city, whose M.O. is similar to the killer Shalkar caught in the 1990s.
